Jethro Tull flute would be badass as well.. it would be easy for them to adapt this one here.. just changing the soundfonts and the main image, lol.. the articulations are pretty the same as it's flute..

Developers have been having some truly amazing sales through the summer and I've spent way too much money already. But MAN!! I really want these China instruments from Ample Sound!! I wonder if changing the key on the interface also changes the pitch and speed of the recorded phrases.

Hey, thanks! Good overview. One thing I don't think you covered though - I went on their site to find out what the key range is. I didn't find it. Could you list it when doing these - it really helps making up one's mind.

This looks great. I wonder how it compares to The Flutes from Audio Modeling (or Sample Modeling before the feud between the 2). However, I've used the flutes since at least 2014 and I feel like I'm well aware of their limitations, which aren't that many tbh. Despite the obvious difference, that this is sample based and The Flutes are physically modeled, it'd be nice to get to know the differences in what they are capable of accomplishing. From what you show us here I'd not be surprised if this VST is better. On another note, the sound of the Dongxiao is more similar to the härjedalspipa (Nordic Low Whistle) by precisionsound store.precisionsound.net/shop/nordic-low-whistle/ but their products is far from as detailed produced as Amplesound's products.
