Beautiful finds, Jenna. I like a shop with me and haul on your channel. I tend to cut my food on plates rather than my beautiful cutting boards. I don't like seeing gauges on my boards. Especially if l'm styling with them.

Jenna, you’re right…you should not cut meat on a wood cutting board because the wood is porous and the bacteria would get into the pores. Love the things you bought. Keep the videos coming!! ❤️

I am so glad you said that because just today I was thinking that even though I don’t even eat a lot of meat I starting to think I just don’t want my wooden chopping block any more I used to have a glass one I think I want one again

America’s Test Kitchen tested wood cutting boards on which meat had been cut. The boards were washed with hot, soapy water, then sent to a lab to examine for the presence of bacteria. They found that washing with hot, soapy water removed the bacteria. Glass cutting boards make a terrible clacking sound and will quickly dull your knives (ATK tested cutting boards as well specifically to test their effect on knives). Hope that helps.

Totally agree with you @sheriw56, glass cutting boards destroy you knives. The wood cutting boards are used for years for all respected chefs . You only have to choose the right wood, like Olive, Mango… it can’t be too soft. 🤍

Love these videos! Please continue to do more of them. I don’t like vintage stuff so places like Home Goods, Hobby Lobby, Kirklands, At Home, stores like that. It also makes it easier for us viewers to find the items since they have most of these type of stores throughout the country.

I LOVE pedestal/footed bowls&cake plates….I’ve got sort of a small collection goin on….In glass, I’ve got a small green footed cake plate as well as a medium blue plate. In ceramic, I’ve got a white scalloped edged w/laced bLack ribbon on edge, and a small teal one. In metal, I’ve got A small silver one. I use these to elevate decorative teapots and such. I have a crystal dome lidded cake plate, a Mercury glass footed small bowl, a tiny glass dome lidded cupcake holder, a knobby glassware pedestal dish, a square purple glass pedestal bowl in my guest suite and a pink knobby glass one I use as candle holder in the hall bathroom, a small milk glass bowl, and an oval lead crystal dish. For formal serveware, in crystal footed bowls, Ive got a Xmas tree cut glass bowl, a pineapple pattern cut glass, and a princess house vintage thin glass large footed bowl….I’m 60….been collecting things AWHILE!!!! W/ALL that said…a marble footed bowl as well as a woven bowl are my next hunting items!

Your videos are a wonderful assortment. I especially enjoy your dupe videos or when you find things at HG and show the dupe - you've helped me figure out my style and how to combine decor. I agree with you on meat and wooden cutting boards. However, I have a beautiful old Dansk carvng board - it has a lip to catch cooked meat juices. After washing it with soap, I sprinkle with baking soda and hydrogen peroxide, dry it then buff a little food grade mineral oil into the wood. It looks scarred but beautiful after 40 years of use.

Hey Jenna, Did I hear you ask what we’d like to see more of? I’d like to see more organic modern, warm neutrals and less vintage. I’ve never seen you do bedding but I’d like to see some of that and some large wall art as well. Maybe more gardening ideas too. My home is two years old and I’m still decorating guest rooms. I love Target and Magnolia bedding and decor but can’t bring myself to shop there any longer since we don’t share the same values. If there’s anywhere else that has that style, count me in.
