Hello everyone and welcome to this first video of a series showing you my uncle's 1/18 scale modelcar collection. This first part features the high-end resin supercars from manufacturers such as Porsche, Koenigsegg, Bentley, Bugatti and (a lot of) Ferrari. These modelcars are made by different brands, for instance BBR, MR Collection, Spark, Avanstyle and Looksmart. I would love to hear which one of these is your favourite one? Feel free to tell me in the comments!
In case anyone is wondering: The display case in which the modelcars have been filmed is made by BBR.

how do resin models feel, do they have some weight to it? And do they feel like metal?

Compared to metal, most of them are lighter. However, the high-end models come on leather bases which adds a lot of weight so that you don‘t really feel that they are lighter. Resin models don‘t feel like metal either. As resin is some sort of plastic, you feel the difference when touching them

They feel like carbon fiber when you touch them as such made objects are always molded in resin (it’s a different type from the one used in miniature models called epoxy resin, but has a similar texture).
