If you have input lag issues, and are sensitive to it, I'd recommend setting your global offset to compensate, turn off hitsounds, and use a speaker or something like that to listen to the music. In turn, your keypresses become hitsounds, and it means that you don't have to learn how to compensate for the input delay. It might take some getting used to, but depending on how severe the lag is, it will make learning harder patterns a lot easier. It sucks, but at least you'll be able to time your hits to the music, not the input lag + music. There are a plethora of online resources available that can help reduce input and audio latency. But, depending on your rig and drivers, it can require a lot of software and hardware optimization. My shitty 2016 laptop can get 20 ms of audio latency at it's lowest (which is completely playable), whereas my balls to the walls custom desktop rig (which can push thousands of frames into the game) gets around 70-80 without optimizations. With the proper hardware optimizations (e.g. not using a dac/amp and using a dedicated soundcard), nvidia control panel settings, in game settings, windows optimizations, and community developed audio drivers, my desktop still hovers around 40-50 ms of audio latency. With the aforementioned method, you can completely forgo this headache, with the caveat of no more in game hitsounds. All depends on preference at the end of the day

Me and my dad used to split screen call of duty aw on a 50in tv years ago. When i tell you the input lag was HORRENDOUS. A WHOLE 2 SECONDS. Eventually i got my own xbox and a smaller TV for a birthday which was miles better than the 50in, and my dad yoinked the new tv lmao. Which at the time he had more time than me and he was starting a yt channel so i understood, ill never forget the first supply drop i opened in that game was the insanity variant which my dad could never get lol, good time. Now both of us have full time jobs and dont get as much time anymore.
