Even if that were the case, you can choose to just simply ignore the melee players and make it instead look like competitive melee players are a joke, but instead you decide to antagonize a group of people, making players from the outside believe that melee players are the sole reason that the community is bad, and that people should blame everything on them. Acknowledging the problem in this case only causes the problem to spread throughout the entire community, and sometimes you have to be the adult here and don't screech back at the ones screeching at you.

I mention melee 'fringe' for a reason, how you translate that to making competitive melee players a joke is a mystery to me considering we are talking about a phenomena which exits outside the game. Also you are being hyperbolic or extra sensitive if what I wrote constitutes 'screeching'. Stating what is clearly observable, in this case a dominate direction of bashing coming from the melee fringe, which apparently 'ruins' or taints the entire smash community is silly. Blame goes where it goes, a small fringe of melee players being arbitrarily aggressive, and not the entire smash fan base or the socially adjusted melee fans. This small fringe doesn't define the entire fandom, pointing out the fringe should be evident enough of that.

Kamui it’s not so much a glitch as it is just a programming bonus thing (which is removed in PAL). You have to press A to grab with it, and you have the option of holding shield to seek out targets.

Yeah you press grab then press up down up on the d pad to activate the extender. It tracks the opponent and you press a when it's near them to grab them.

Ness is one of the glitchiest characters in Melee. That's all you need to know to understand that.

Ape Mayor Using the Yoyo glitch (activated by that up-smash) creates a hit box on Ness's next move that's hitbox goes from where it started to Ness's current location.

4:11 Ness is able to spawn an hitbox by doing an up-smash and teleport it to him by using attacks, making everything between him an the hitbox hit/grab He can also make the hitbox of a PK thunder stuck to him, like at 4:18 (Up-Smash) and 4:22 (PK Thunder sticking to Ness) If you want to know more about Melee’s glitch, go watch « Melee Is Broken » video by Heeew

Oh, and the Ness didn't die to the knee because he hit himself with the other PK Thunder to cancel the knockback.
