Everyone here commenting on how amazing SoV soundtrack is, and while I 100% agree, you gotta remember the VAST improvement Gaiden made over Dark Dragon. Both of Celica's map themes, both 1 and 2 pushed the limits of the sound quality that was avaliable on NES systems at that time in the late 1980's early 1990's.

In the case of the UCF thing, all that does is avoid bad dashback, which was not the reason why Chu beat Leffen. Reenabling UCF for a single set was the most juvenile thing I've seen. Play the game. We did it for years!

Now if you want a real number 1: Piranha Plant's footstool jump retaliation attack. Only possible when Plant is crounching for one, but every single character in the game can airdodge away. You can't even use it to troll a fetus in the womb because the opponent needs to footstool jump on the crouching Plant in order for the move to activate.
