Fello A rank (couple games away from my S-rank promos) vientos player here. I'm buddies with Land if you know him. Curious how you feel about the bvo-flavor of builds this patch. It feels tough. Zimmpamzee ranges from free win to 50/50 based on the IQ of the player, lrbster/lrb reb swap feels same, anything on tank treads don't bother, and kite feels like the only good matchup but also kinda map dependent. Curious to know your thoughts. Edit: forgot to mention the stagger bug lmao I really hope they quickfix it or at the minimum get it next patch

I think BVO is much better now that it was last patch! If it wasn't for the tank bug, this patch would be amazing for us haha

@RamenRook what's your strat for beating neb tank? I've had some success fighting them from farther out than I normally engage but it still doesn't feel reliable

@@W1Robur i haven't found a super reliable way to do it. I thought jousting might work, maybe ratting if all else fails, but manual aim nebula shots from 400m can be cumbersome to deal with

@@W1Robur also I think the problem is amplified by tank bug. If it wasn't for tank bug I would probably run slicer or chainsaw and kill them in 3 staggers instead of 4

@RamenRook yeah jousts are rough because you lose the trade. And ratting maybe but like you said the manual aim but also the auroras increase in speed and accuracy over distance. Sure, you can perfect dodge 2 or 3, but maybe on the 4th shot a single pellet hits you. Doesn't seem like much but when AP lead is %age based and they're on a tank and you're barely cracking 9k ap the math is not in your favor...

on your blue mech, I would recomend the new light weight arms to help solve the recoil problem. it should help you keep more needles on point at medium range. Skills are on point tho.

Basho arms are necessary because the build is designed around melee stagger punish.

You wouldn't need the S16 for extra punish if you were running pilebunker :^) No more missiles to pressure the stagger bar #pilebunkersupremacy (Jk ik it sucks lmfao)

I dont BVO but ive played a bunch of them prior to getting S. Why pulse blade over slicer?

I'm using Pulse Blade now mainly because tanks are bugged and I like the safe option of Pulse Blade. Also, due to buerzel being nerfed, a lot of players have downsized so Heavy Biped isn't used as often as it was last patch. Pulse Blade kills most non tanks in 2 staggers, with 3 staggers being most. Slicer still kills in two staggers against heavy bipeds, but I won't know what the better option is until Tanks are no longer bugged. For the time being, I think Pulse Blade is the most consistent choice.

Its riskier, heavier, more energy consuming, less consistent, and overkill amounts of damage against anything but tanks

I think it's fairly natural to expect builds to become hyper-optimized at the highest levels of play. Perfect balance can never be achieved, and metas will always form. It's just the nature of competitive games.

They need to add better options since lightweights get blown up so quick and vientos are the only good pistols

Very skilled gameplay, however you could have won against the tank player by just ratting.

2x Aurora is a hard thing to rat. The further it travels the faster it goes. If I was a dedicated rat I could probably pull it off but I'm pretty low skilled when it comes to ratting. Besides, no one wants to see me rat and claim high skill!
