N2 > apprenticeship (usually 4years both work based and training center training, you spend about 4 months a year in a training center and the rest at the company, there's also the accelerated program but you need N4 for those and you get 6 months training and 1year work experience then you can go for trade test after) > trade test... Just make sure the training center is merseta accredited and the trade test is a red seal preferably as some places don't take other seals. I know places like Toyota, grindrod, dormac, South African shipyard, mercedes, Unilever, takes trainees on an almost yearly basis

Woth no training centre and qualifications you get section 24 trade test,not really in demand but can be good with the company you work with ,with training centre and qualifications and 4 years you get section 13 trade test

No, that Canadian fitter's rate is in CAD not USD. Example : australia pays in AUD, USA in USD, Canada in CAD, UK in Gbp(pounds)

It's not so easy ,I am a red seal millwright,when I started I had to go to a training center and learn theory and practical for 2 years. The cost per month at training centre was around R18000. If you get a learnership or bursary it's worthwhile.
