Hi Ozan, this pump comes from the same factory- So specs are the same as the original one.

Hi! -This OE pumps have the same manufacturing quality as the vw/audi OEM ones? -New actual revisions are better than old ones (more pressure handle)? -Is there any difference between Hitachi and Hüco pumps? -Why some pumps are sold with the hitachi brand stamped erased? -Why some pumps has in the front 9 1 or 10 1 code stamped? -The OEM camfollower is also made by Hitachi? Hello Alvaro,Thank you for your comment, here is our response: *-This OE pumps have the same manufacturing quality as the vw/audi OEM ones?* _-Since we are the OE manufactuerer for this this pump, yes they are made by the same specs._ *-New actual revisions are better than old ones (more pressure handle)?* _-HPFP have to must meet the manufacturer's specifications and are not changed or improved, since they already working fine._ *-Is there any difference between Hitachi and Hüco pumps?* _-Actually the package and the number, pumps have the same specs._ *-Why some pumps are sold with the hitachi brand stamped erased?* _-This is an internal process, in the end they are printed with either HÜCO or Hitachi._ *-Why some pumps has in the front 9 1 or 10 1 code stamped?* _-These are applied by the factory, we do not have access to this info. The QR codes or numbers are not allowed to be removed._ *-The OEM camfollower is also made by Hitachi?* _We do not make the product ourselves in our factory, but ours meet the same quality standard._ We hope we have answered all your questions to your contentment.

If I was changing the HPFP would it be mildly necessary to change the cam follower as well? And what did you mean “the cam follower should be at the lowest point?”

Hello Mr. Jasson, the camfollower should be replaced, because the flat one are prone to break. When you look at the cam lobe, the lobe must be turned the right amount of degrees, so the cam follower is on the flattest point of the lobe.

@@EJR20 Hello Mr. Jason, please ask your mechanic how to do it best on your car. When the camshaft is in the highest position, the installation is made unnecessarily difficult.

@@HitachiAstemoAftermarket say the lobe appears to be high a bit, and an installation is done anyway but in a careful manner by tightening the bolts as evenly as possible, in any case of such nature, could damage be caused to the pump itself like cause a leak on top of the mount; on the screw head that has the connector on top of it, or is this pump just cheap and failed immediately.

Hello, I received an obvious counterfeit Hitachi High Pressure Fuel Pump that a Chinese seller on eBay is selling as “new” claiming it’s from the manufacturer. Claimed it was counterfeit and all he did was offer a refund upon returning the item..no denial of it being counterfeit lol. How I can tell is compared to my original pump the car came with from the VW factory is that #1 the Hitachi logo stamped into the front metal is not as high quality/sharp defined border and letters. #2 the metal is not as smooth(more textured). #3 the VW logo and the QR code printed on the top sensor do not look authentic(bigger VW logo, inaccurate spacing in QR code blocks) #4 the pump weighs less than the original likely due to impute Chinese metals used. The seller is located in China but has 2 US distribution centers so they can ship faster in the US. I’m a parts guy for Nissan and we deal with a lot of “grey market” counterfeit parts. I’ve sent an email to Hitachi but not sure if it will get to the right person. I need you guys to confirm that it’s not a pump Hitachi has manufactured so eBay can remove the listing and the seller from eBay. The listing says more than 50 pumps have been sold under that listing alone!

@@HitachiAstemoAftermarket I've seen two different types, I came to the conclusion mine might not have one of them. I've seen one with a roller and one without. Seems to be cam follower and cam lobe, do you know if my car (1.4 tsi, engine code cavd). Only has the one with roller?

Sure Ozzy, if the seal was damaged it can happen, that you have fuel in the oil. Dilluted oil is dangerous for an engine. Why are you questioning it, if you don't mind us asking?

@@HitachiAstemoAftermarket I may have similar issue with @Ozzy, fuel is leaking into engine oil, but in my case fuel pressure is stable with engine off (check with VCDS), engine turn on immediately and I don't have neither power loss nor any engine error. What I have is very low fuel consumption on idle 0.3-0.4, engine backfires and AFR is very rich on idle 10.7:1. Do you came across with similar concerns before? We checked everything and the last one is HPFP. I own an 1.4 TSI engine. VW POLO 6R GTI

@@gavgav2006 Hello, Mr. Gab, sorry for the late reply. We had a long weekend. With the high-pressure pump you bought, if you don't handle it properly, the plunger could fall out. When the plunger is reinserted, the seal is damaged, which can lead to oil dilution.

@@gavgav2006 Hello Mr. Gar, yes ist this tiny piston. Does the piston still look black or already rather silver at your HPP? It is quite possible that if the seal is not lubricated by the fuel, it will leak.

Is there anyway someone can purchase the top sensor only, without purchasing a whole pump? I don't know if you're aware but on most Golf 5 cars, the engine cover pushes this top connector and breaks it. It's the most common fauilre of this pump on these cars. I know that Hitachi has nothing to do with the design of the engine cover on these cars, but it'd help out a lot of people if you could purchase the top sensor only. I have a hpfp on my golf 5 gti, that has a cracked, broken top sensor. The pump works without a problem, but I'm afraid that someone day it will fail due to the broken sensor. I've search everywhere for this top sensor, but it seems there is no way to buy it. If the reason for the lack of availability of this sensor to force people to buy a new pump, than its a very bad business model. Purchasing a new 250 euro pump, just because it has a cracked plastic sensor seems like a very bad idea.

Hello esfrost, actually we deliver the pumps without the sensor at all. There is only a connector for the valve. Maybe that's what you need?

@@HitachiAstemoAftermarket When the pump installed on the car this broken connector sits on the top of the pump. Is there anyway I can replace or purchase this connector only? @@esfrost The only electrical connector on our pump is from the electrical valve. This valve can´t be sold separately. The other sensors etc. you can find at you local parts dealer.

@esfrost It is not the business model it is the *manufacturing process* . Through us you have the possibility to get the high pressure pump in the aftermarket. We have also officially had no cases where the plug was broken during operation.
