I was looking through names for my next DnD character as my group is starting a new campaign next week when I realized that because of my race(shifter), Mist was a name option and I had already decided that my ranger companion(a panther) would be called Shadow, Mist and Shadow which is funny bc my group plays on Thursdays about 2 hours after the Curse of Strahd stream.

Tom is too sweet to play someone that made a deal with Asmodeus. I love how Trott is playing Yesper to be very anti dragon born right now because of the deals they made but I so wish Tom would just turn it on him and say “your people had a deal with Strahd for hundreds of years. How the hell can you possibly judge me when your kind allowed him to become what he is today?” Again, he’s too sweet for the world of Barovia.

41:26 I had that in college! If a professor was more than 15 minutes late then people would just start leaving. I couldn't in the early years cuz my parents always drove me but later on when I drove myself I could take full advantage! Only did a few times since I felt like a waste of learning not being there. Winter cancellations were welcome in the later years because of all the homework and I was glad to get a few extra days to finish or to study for a big exam. 1:27:42 I LOVED those movies as a kid! Would watch them at least once a day! Haven't watched for a while now since the first one was over 20 years ago & that is a MAJOR mind blown when I remember I was only 10 when the first movie came out. I had all the books and I was super interested in Egypt, mummies, magic, all that good stuff! Around that time when Harry Potter came out & I switched over to that for the most part. Still do like those movies, just haven't watched for some time.

I've always thought the ruling on extra attack not applying for readied action is unfair, if a spellcaster readies a spell and the trigger doesn't happen they loose the spell slot because narratively they cast the spell and hold the release for a trigger and if it doesn't come the magic fades, to me that means by the same merit the martial class is readying their full attack, and if anything for narrative value they should absolutely get the extra attack because they're tactically preparing themselves to take that action instead of spontaneously attacking.

That ruling on reddied actions doesnt seem correct. Pretty sure it's the movement that causes the reddied action to trigger. I.e. "If it moves near me I'll hit it" spider moves in range = reddied action

Hey if time travel were to happen in some form it might be interesting to explore the shadow weave. Seems as pertinent as it could ever possibly be. It'd be a bit of research, but it would be really cool considering the different themes and party members.

Nowhere in the rules for readied action does it say the opponent would get an attack after the trigger. The trigger is the approach if the player has started "I hold it until they come near". If it was "I hold it until they attack" they would get an attack first. Also is Trott's attack a multi attack?? If so it's considered one action and he would get to do both attacks.

That readied action rule seems a bit stupid. Is it correct?

Everyone always reacts so bad to the dicerolls. If it's really a problem, just decide that everyone takes 10 on all rolls, and it will be purely a game of what skills your chatacter has. Seems a bit boring to me, though. When the skilled miss or the unlikly succeed is what makes the game fun IMO.
