I agree but then issei stomps vail at the end of the LN so far vail is a little weaker then issei. Issei is able to hurt sirzechs to the point he carnt fully heal some of his injuries resulting in him have some scars so another words vail and issei are satan/super devil class in power witch is just mindblowing

I know this is way late to answer but issei will never catch up to vali the way he is currently. What is not explained in the anime is that vali is a magic prodigy because he has the power of the original lucifer, vali trained with the juggernaut drive to be able the control it at will which in the beginning had drained his life force However since he has so much magic power he can actually sacrifice his energy instead of his life force allowing vali to use juggernaut drive with almost no drawbacks besides being really tired afterwards or if he uses it for too long and uses all his energy he cannot control it anymore and will turn into a monster like issei. On issei's side he has an absolutely pathetic amount of magic power ( essentially a little over the basic level required to jump through magic circles ). (Which he can buff using a bishop or queen promotion) but he has no power to sacrifice for his life force and with no training in the juggernaut drive he will always go insane and if he were to train it he would have to get ahold of it quickly or it will kill him in no time

It actually is a fair bit weaker, not by much but he has just gotten it so it's kinda weak at the moment. However it lets him do far more things much easier with all the different boosters it has

That best thing about it is that it is just a promotion so he gets all the abilities of the pieces too

Even Vali possess his own version of Diabolos Dragon, the problem is that Vali becomes stronger from a day to another. Even if Issei reaches Vali's power, the next day Vali is stronger again while Issei has to find new ways to acquire more power (think to the fact that Vali acquired norse magic only reading book and was enough to defend himself from Loki). I like Issei but even with his new body his talent is only a bit greater than when he was a a simple human reincarnated into a devil, Ddraig clearly stated that. In one way or another, Issei will be equal to Vali at the end, but he will always have to work much harder than Vali to be equal to him.

KaleidMikaelson yeah sori i think i was on DXD drugs when i wrote this xDD. after i read a fanfic(Rise of the solar god) i understood how fucking strong Vali can be(the writer of the fanfic got little info from one of the DxD writers, so thats why some of the stuff he writes is kinda cannon xd)

issei is still a developing mc. vali is stronger at this point but where the light novel is currently id say they are even. Dragon Deification even the pseudo version puts him on par with valis fusion with ophis. for a time issei surpassed vali but ophis had to cut the power since his body was literally breaking down when he used a full dragon deification. he almost died from it twice. it wasnt life force consumption but the burden on his body was far to much

No, Vali is still stronger than Issei in the light novels. His new DxD Lucifer form still makes him ahead of Issei. Issei's pseudo form is weaker than his DxD form.

Vali is just naturally more gifted than Issei. Vali is a descendant of Lucifer so his quantity of devil power is already insane. Issei was just a regular human. Furthermore, Vali is a prodigy who is ridiculously talented in magic. You also have to remember than Vali awakened his power as a heavenly Dragon much earlier than Issei so he already had a head start. It makes sense why Vali is ahead of Issei. However Issei also have his share of feats. Considering how talented Vali is, it's amazing that Issei is keeping up with him. Even now Issei beats Vali in raw power and has a Dragon connection than Vali.
