Not in a million years would I have been ready to marry and have kids (!) so young. I had my wild oats to sow and knew that I was not near ready yet. Wasn't until I was 36 that I found the man at the right time to share the rest of my life with. Had my daughter at 38. (One was enough.) I did make it through college and grad school becoming an artist and art teacher during the years you were both raising your family. I am certainly impressed that such young kids were able to stick together, build a large family, a profitable business, and still have such a loving relationship. Rare indeed.

My hubby and I ate high school sweethearts too. We started dating our sophomore yr. Hubby went off to college and we couldn't stand being apart. We dated for 3 yrs, married and 41 yrs ago this past January since we said, "I do!" It's been great! We love and respect each other more every day! I have been disabled for 6 yrs due to a car accident and this man that stole my heart all those yrs ago has stayed with me and takes such great care of me. God knew who I would need in this life and He gave me the perfect mate for live and enterity! Congrats on being high school sweethearts and now husband and wife! We're high school sweethearts too!!! 38 years. We've been through a lot,, but losing our son in an accident,,,almost killed us both. But together we survived.

Your story is so sweet and inspirational. My husband was my first boyfriend in 8 th grade. I saw him one day before school standing with a group of his friends, and he literally stole my breath away. After high school he went in the Navy and I to college, and we parted ways. We ran into each other a decade later, and I had the same physical reaction. It totally shocked me. I could barely catch my breath. October 2023 will be our 25th anniversary. He’s the love of my life and he still takes my breath away. It was truly love at first sight.
