I am installing the UniFi Switch Enterprise 8 PoE in my home network to provide me with 10Gbps connectivity between my switch and the UDM SE as well as 2.5 Gbps between my NAS and many other devices in my network.

I would replace those rj45 sfp with a dac cable or if it’s a longer distance do it with fiber

Yeah, indeed. Please only use SFP-to-RJ45 as a last resort. Just do DAC, AOC or seperate Fiber transceivers.

Hi KB , Is latency increased wen adding the USW Enterprize 8Poe to your UDM SE?

You had issues with the SPF+ port because when you power on that switch, it needs to be updated in order for the 10GE to work properly.

FYI in port manager your ports negotiated a 1Gb connection, Green/Gbe = 1 Gb. Blue color is 10Gb. I suspect the blue ethernet cable is under specification for 10Gb, hence the issue negotiating. Get some Cat 6 cables for your 10Gb uplink.

How long do your classes take ( to get certified)??

The course is self-taught with pre recorded videos. it depends on your speed and time put into it. But I'd say 3 to 4 months can be enough.

Salut. I've sampled several of your videos today and most have several basic corrections about the video from users. Not sure how you define a pro in your neck of the woods, but I just find it lame mildly speaking. To be clear, I don't think this has anything to do with language translation. To many folks just comment out on your basic mistakes.
