High Speed Rail Action in 1998 along the BNSF Chillicothe Subdivision

3 жыл бұрынOn March 14th & 15th of 1998 I visited the BNSF Chillicothe Subdivision in Illinois. Stops were made at Ransom, Kernan, Streator, Toluca Ancona, Chillicothe, Houlihan's Curve, & Edelstein. BNSF power was becoming more common but Santa Fe power was still prevalent along the former AT&SF Transcon. Power on other trains included Burlington Northern, Conrail, Montana Rail Link (MRL), Electro Motive Leasing (EMDX) & CORP.

Very cool to see some locomotives still unpatched while some already have new numbers and a BNSF patch. All the ex-ATSF and BN locomotives I saw growing up already had BNSF patches. The occasional MRL, LMX, and B unit are some things I never saw too What's the locomotive at 11:48? I've never seen an image of one of those before

That's an ex AT&SF SF30C that was sold and then leased back to BNSF.
