Yo yo Brian love your videos especially from the late 90s and maybe 2000 I was also going to say that today in Northern California where I live is mainly UP trains but out of the blue came not 1 but 2 BNSF trains on UP trackage and was able to caught all of them there was one in the Fake bonnet scheme after I saw the trio of the H2 and 2 H1s

Sad to think BNSF is basically running the last of the B40-8Ws into the ground...

I don’t think the Amtrak 156, 66, 822, and 184 aren’t be able to be repaired. So it’s gonna have to be scrapped or replaced into Phase V.

I was born in 2001, but man, the 90s seemed pretty cool, and BNSF Atsf heritage units seemed more common back then. Wish they could bring them back

Any way i do miss that nice blue yellow engine and the rest of that train set which I haven't seen that kind of Santa Fe before always Red and silver. But it was nice that had blue and yellow Santa Fe train set
@ChristopherWright-wh8gk3 ай бұрын
My 5 th favorite train the Santa Fe beautiful red and silver train which is awesome. Long time ago when I was 14 or 15 years old i had Santa Fe train set but instead of red and sliver it was Blue and yellow quite interesting. But unfortunately the rails cars and the train engine derailed off the bridge and broke. Sadly the engine was ruined and couldn't work any more and my cars broke too. Couldn't keep it so I fortunately my mom told me also the grandmother told me to throw out in the garage. So I carefully looked at it see how bad it is broken and couldn't get it fixed so I unfortunately i had to throw it out rotten shame it was a nice beautiful blue and yellow engine and nice train set too

Now the old station is gone, the crossing has been upgraded and there are stacks of new ties that are being installed on the sub.

The fact that those semaphores lasted until the line’s demise is remarkable. Do you know what kind of traffic was handled on this line, and if there were any major customers?
@atsf934 ай бұрын
CSX ran a couple freights to and from St Louis + occasional autoracks and extras. CP and later INRD seemed to run a daily "turn" to Louisville. In the end, just INRD ran a train or two daily, which wasn't profitable enough to keep the line open.

Curious why it goes into single track once the Toledo sub veers off to the left by the Rally's? I assume it's because of the bridge going over Spring Grove?
@atsf935 ай бұрын
Yes this is the "head on connection" over Spring Grove Ave that allowed B&O trains to reach the CH&D / CSX Toledo Subdivision without making a backup move near NA Tower in St Bernard.

I didn't remember the northbound Winton Place signal having a 3rd marker on Main 2. I guess that was changed when the 3rd Main was added?

Likely so. The 3rd main was being constructed at this time.

the tracks east of plum run to portsmouth ohio is out of service while the western most is owned by Norfolk Southern and leased to Cincinnati eastern Railroad, Norfolk Southern's T46 does drop off and pick up of cars to or from The Cincinnati Eastern Railroad Sunday-Thursday's on the Indiana and Ohio Oasis Line.
@jimnobbe70245 ай бұрын
Line is out of service, pending abandonment from CT 83.48 east. Abandonment proceeding swill take place as part of the STB proceedings dealing with the sale of the Cincinnati Southern by the City of Cincinnati to Norfolk Southern. Abandonment and donation of this unrelated to Cincinnati Southern property to the State of Ohio for a Trail was a condition for the State's required approval of the sale. Thanks Ohio!
