This year I am paying tribute to the greatest artist of all time, Stevie Wonder, by releasing only videos related to his music. It will be a YEAR IN THE KEY OF STEVIE. Following up on my previous guitar play through of the two guitar parts played by Errol Cooney (@errolcooney1877) and Kyle Bolden (@muzikman022) on Stevie Wonder's Live At Last (2009) concert film, I've tried to put together a mid-length lesson on what I'm playing. I'll include a link to a chart below.
It's really rare for guitarists to play this song well, as we get drawn towards the flat third to fifth chord progression and ignore the shuffle/rhythm reggae combo that emphasises the upstrokes. I'll be uploading a full guitar lesson on this later this week, just need a bit more time to edit. In the meantime - a video of me jamming out to Higher Ground, from Stevie's Innervisions - my favourite album of all time.
As always, if you've enjoyed this video please give me a follow on the socials. All the relevant pieces are available at bio.site/kallp
