Just a heads up for others considering this mod, you can get heat shrink with adhesive inside. May be an idea if you decide to stack more couplers
@chancefish27406 жыл бұрын
They make turn down couplings you have to go to site one or tico to get them tho

What are your thoughts on the vent lines? Do those need to be extended as well? I am doing risers on my HL this weekend.

Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha guy at heart. They make the best quality out there. Thinking about a 2 up machine and they don’t make any. Considering buying a can am 570 max xt or a Polaris sportsman 570 sp. what do you recommend? What are your thoughts?
@MudPuppyOffroad6 жыл бұрын
The popo is a very decent bike. I upgrade the rear axles to East lakes cheap mod. The can ams are geared too high and weak diffs and trannies plus still lack true 4x4

Mud Puppy Generally the type of riding I do is trail riding and occasionally some rock crawling. So it’s pretty low key easy riding for the most part. So would you say the Can am is a better choice or is the Polaris?
@mudpine25355 жыл бұрын
I want to snorkel my 570, worried about clutch heat, kit i was looking at was 1 1/2 flex hose. Thinks thats enough air flow, i like to do 100km trips
@MudPuppyOffroad5 жыл бұрын
Yeah that is nowhere near enough flow

So then they’re just for looks ? Wouldn’t water just go right into the cracks where the electrical tape is at ?
@madmudder24346 жыл бұрын
Another question; Couldn’t you just use a straight PVC pipe cut to the size you’d want it with the 90 degree elbow at the top.. rather than the pieces?🤔 Could still use the shrink wrap for a nice look/feel
@MudPuppyOffroad6 жыл бұрын
Sure... Less air flow
@madmudder24346 жыл бұрын
Mud Puppy how would it be less airflow? Doesn’t have any lip on the inside at all

Have you figured out how to get the Polaris 850HL to turn better? Mine turns about as good as a school bus
@MudPuppyOffroad6 жыл бұрын
I just slide the ass around
@Cookk246 жыл бұрын
Mud puppy on the "850hl"if your running a 2in bracket lift can you also run 2in spring spacers.what are pros cons..please
@MudPuppyOffroad6 жыл бұрын
You need Cobra front axles to run the 2-inch properly if you want to run spring spacers as well we will definitely need Cobra or warthog rear axles. I do not recommend doing that though it will ride even worse than they do stock

Thanks man.

Where did you find 2.5" pvc? I can only find 2 or 3"
@MudPuppyOffroad4 жыл бұрын
Exactly. Which is why I took 2" couplers and stack them up to get a bigger inner diameter... It's the equivalent of 2.5 inch
