From this comment, I did some research as I didn't know that in the SEC the school gets fined $50,000 when their fans rush the field. In investigating this I also discovered that in the National Football League, rushing the field usually results in a lifetime revocation of season tickets from the holder of them and also a lifetime trespassing notice banning the rusher from the team and/or stadium property... I remember tearing the goalposts down in 1982 after we beat them, but that was very different. After that win we were 3--2-1 and finished at 6-5-1. That win was nice, but this one, with both teams being unbeaten was WAY better, and way more significant.

Last time UT beat Bama, I was in the hospital in Knoxville at the time. Everyone knew I was the biggest fan and I had been there for 3 months at the time. I was 17 at the time. I had decorated my hospital room in orange and white. The nurses went together and got the team to sign a bunch of stuff and they got me an orange and white mini-Christmas tree. That stuff and their friendship meant the world to me. The Vols helped me through a rough time and continue to help me through the same illness. God Bless Rocky Top!

I was at the game when Illinois beat Wisconsin on homecoming in 2019 and rushed the field and I remember noticing several of our stadium security moving to stand around the base of the goalposts. Now I understand why.

I am a huge Alabama fan and believe it or not I am very very happy for Tennessee. I thought I would be torn up about this loss and surprisingly I wasn't. Tennessee beat Alabama and deserved to win. Great job Tennessee!!! Never thought I would ever say that but I am truly happy for ya'll. I was really hoping Tennessee would beat Georgia but...... SEC still won the National Championship and I think Tennessee beating Alabama and doing as good as they did it will help recruiting and there is always next year.

Tennesse fans are feeling that energy we had after beating Ohio last year. When your team beats a rival who is more talent and top 3 in the country its a feeling u won't understand. 15 years straight of loses and finally you beat them and you beat them at their best!
