Dixon actually pulled off some great saves...Rico has to deal better on first goal and stop the ball coming through...Dixon is unlucky on second goal superb save low down intially..I thought he did alright..he needs our support and to grow in confidence COYWM onwards and upwards 👏 👍

Am predicting - due to unforeseen circumstances, he’s on the bench that day and - Trafford has to come off early in the playoff final (🤞🏻) and he does a “Nigel Spink”. That would be Dixon having the game of his life in arguably our single biggest game in the last decade. Getting way ahead of my self there - but - I do hope he manages to repay the faith Evatt has shown him (to keep him around) in some way. COYWM

Dixon played well. Some good saves and his distribution was fine. He was nervous as hell playing behind a defence he didn't know and which changed twice with Jones and Santos going off. People saying he's not L1 standard forget that he was playing behind a poor defence that leaked like a sieve and we needed Gilks to settle the ship with his experience. Now, he rarely gets a look in, is likely to go in the Summer, but rather than say he had a decent game some people still want to slag him off for errors made years ago. Even saw one 'fan' say they regretted going to Rovers yesterday because Dixon was in goal. WTH? How about supporting the 'team' and backing them, instead of singling out one guy before a ball was even kicked? If he leaves then I wish him the very best of luck.

So basically, Dixon was in net shipping goals and had to be replaced by a retired Gilks to 'steady the ship' (i.e he wasn't good enough)

@@BigGreenTimeMachine Read what I wrote. Don't guess. I said that he was behind a poor defence. We needed someone to shout and yell and shake the team up a bit. Dixon is too passive and I never heard him say anything to his defence. I'm saying that it's not just a case of him making errors (He did- all keepers do, like De Gea yesterday) but the fact he was in a team that needed a stronger personality than he has.

Unfortunately some supports are just there to spread negativity. Each week they targate a player and slag them off. The ame time they want players to preform perfectly. How could they when they have to put up with negative commence from negative fans. Dixon did good. It's easy to put one down but its not easy to lift them up.

I'm not sure we were that lucky to win... Both teams could have had a sackful, think it could have been anything from 3-2 to 8-6 or something.

Don't think it's fair to criticise Dixon, some poor defending by us. We need to do a lot better defensively against Barnsley and not concede any early goals. Coywm!!
