You may not think it is funny. But millions of people do. It’s just not funny to you. 40 years on stage with 25+ shows and over 4 million tickets sold including Carre theater (only female performer next to Toon Hermans, Youp en van Duin with a statue at the theater), Het Nieuwe Luxor etc. is only possible when a lot of people do think it is funny. The only person in the entire history of the Dutch theaters that has performed non-stop for 40 years, most of the time over 140 shows per year and only called out twice (once because the truck with her decor got stuck in the snow). And if I may add, still performs over a hundred shows every year at age 68 with a completely new show announced starting in the fall of 2022 and usually she plays a show two seasons. In a male dominated industry, Tineke is a stand out and a legend but most of all she is a trailblazer for many female solo performers / comedians that now also were able to be on stage on the largest stages and sell out. More so because she also made going to the theater accessible to a large blue color audience that before wouldn’t go . She is beyond loyal to her audience , after every show she makes time to chat with her fans, is always happy to have a picture made and has fan days where you have even more time to interact with Tineke. She is ambassador of many non profits and probably one of the hardest working people I ever met. She is kind, grounded and has 40 year career without one single negative /drama story in the press. In addition she is an amazing singer and her shows are so much more than the sketch seen here. So maybe she doesn’t make you laugh but then at least know that for a Dutch female comedian you may buy tickets for , stands on the shoulders of Tineke.
