@@Mas-ek3ub not really. We have way better service and also cars are used less often, due to the amazing public transportation system we have. Also police cars are usually tuned here, so there is a bigger chance for them to catch up. Most police cars have around 350hp

For clarification about the Swedish law for future readers: Doesn't matter if you have the plates on, you HAVE to be caught red handed inside the car. You can literally pull away and get out of the car and the cops wont be able to prove who drove it.

this actually is a valid excuse in the UK - have seen this on a few TV shows following the cops. I.e. people driving 85mph in a 70mph (80ish is common there) where the reporter asks why he wasnt ticketed for going 15mph over the limit - the cop said that this man needs to be somewhere urgently and he wont have time for a ticket and they will wait for someone going 90mph+.
