After having been denied the chance to go to heaven, Jonathan becomes enraged and is turned into a mortal.
This classic feel-good series follows a probationary angel (Michael Landon, "Bonanza", "Little House on the Prairie") sent back to Earth who teams with an ex-cop to help people.

Im still crying. No, Im not ashamed. Im not ashamed to be a man and weeping. This was immensely touching. You see, God really does love Jonathan. He showed him by sending another angel to save him : his dear wife. He thought that he had gotten away from God and that God didnt care, but all the time he was living with and loving his wife Jane. He got two whole months with her and eventually theyll have an eternity to be together. Michael was an angel in reality. He had the ability to put feelings like these into us. It seems like his life was one big assignment. Love you, Michael.

Just one problem? Reality. Angels don’t have wives and humans are not angels ever! They are created to serve man Gods creation. We are precious in his sight and God may love angels but they know man is higher and we are his great love! For purposes of a show it makes good story it’s just not possible.

In my opinion, these are the best episodes of the entire series. You get to see Jonathan as a human being. I was 11 when it first came out, and I found it boring since there were no kids in it, but as an adult I'm touched deeply. Whenever Claire de Lune comes on the classical music station, I think of this episode. Every couple of years or so, I rewatch it and the tears flow.

Such a sadness in Michael Landon's eyes, and I really mean Michael Landon, not the character he played in this great series . I have followed this mans career from the very beginning when we were first introduced to him as Little Joe in Bonanza. Its there , it was in Bonanza , in Little House on the Prairie, and in Highway to Heaven . I know he didn't have the easiest childhood , but that's all I know. In any case Michael Landon just gets to you . He is one man that is sorely missed . Michael gave us some of the finest television viewing I have ever seen . Rest in peace Michael Landon .

These have been the best episodes I have watched so far. I wonder if it is possible Ewe was an angel too? We all think our furbabies are too precious for this world and she whined to go out just as Johnathan was about to possibly go too far and passionately kiss Jennifer. Her needs broke the moment. Plus, she may have gone on to her next assignment too. Watching this in 2021 while the entire world is in chaos. God, Himself knew we needed a break from politics. How WISE HE IS!

I was just wondering if the little dog was an angel - and thinking about my babydog, who was an angel too. She just passed three months ago. She came to me as a foster baby at approximately age 4, and she ended up staying with me until the end of her time. Her name, the one she came with, was Hazel.

@@lucindarandolph369 nice to meet a like minded soul. I too think we are the last generation before Christ calls us home. I still think that God has an alternate plan to prolong our stay here though. The cup of iniquity is almost full though. Once the world tries to become one sex we are done for. That's playing out on the world stage now.
@hazelkagey6739
@hazelkagey6739 2 жыл бұрын
@@rr1835 when my son was about to be born I looked through a baby name book and after settling on his name I looked mine up. Beside 'Hazel' it said "one who sees God'"! My earliest memory of Jesus was when I was four years old and at my Grandmother's funeral at her church. It's actually a family Church/Cemetery. During the luncheon afterwards I walked over to a door of one of the Sunday school rooms. There was a door length picture of Jesus with His hands reaching out. I was mesmerized by it. Then it was like He picked me up in His arms. I am 72 now and it's still fresh in my memory. I think all of our animals are little angels. My son died from a rare cancer and then God just keeps sending furbabies to me. They help fill the void. They need care and I need to be a care giver. Perfect balance.

I have a lot of pain in my 55 year old life, I don't know what lesson I'm to learn after all I lost. Wife commited suicide in 2016, daughter died in 2013, son is soon to leave for the Marines in November, my new girlfriend/fianceé lives in Berlin, she's so much different than my wife of 25 years, which is good and bad. The latter is good because my wife had bipolar disorder. There's a lot of bad that happened in my family that I'm too imbarrased to type. Is this Karma to fall in love with a woman it seems forever that we will live together? 4000 miles away? I haven't seen her since January 2020 due to the pandemic. I have a lot to learn and a lot to change in a new husband, when and if we ever live together

She mostly acted on TV -- Dynasty, Days of Our Lives, etc. And for a fun bit of trivia, her hometown is Forks, Washington, made famous by the Twilight books and movies, which I think are lame but which are very popular. She and Michael Landon had some nice chemistry in this two-parter.

The dog 'Ewe' was a representation of Jonathon I suppose. It represented his broken self. As Jonathan healed so did Ewe. Because Ewe was You... Jonathan. A very touching episode. I need to watch the one with his Wife before she dies now. But I dont think I could take it at the moment.

Kristy Sokoloski they could never remake Touched by an an Angel or Highway to Heaven Those were one of a kind shows full of inspirational messages of love hope compassion joy happiness To remake those today would be a Travesty to the memory of Michael Landon, Victor French, Della Reese and Romay Those were strong shows and no candle can ever be held up to those shows of yesteryear

I did,have prayed that an angel would help me to survive,to deal with all the things in life that was for me. It was for a very good long time that I prayed,he must have heard my prayers by sending the angel who I spoke of . I know that he's just a man but he's someone that means alot to me . I am there for him to do whatever is necessary . I believe that we were there for each other .

He came at a time when I really truly honestly needed someone . I never ever dream that he would be the best person in the world to take my pain,agony away . But he did . If anything ever happened to him I would be very lost completely . I've known him for 20 years,been with him 5 years of which has been the very best for us both .
