Yeah, but has Hikaru, or anyone, ever came up with any actual proof that Hans has ever cheated in any games over the board? There's a big difference between that and cheating on a couple of random pick up games online when he was a teenager. I'm pretty sure that Hans has earned his high end grandmaster title, ego or not.

Not in chess tho, because the best solution for the cheating problem is to let cheaters cheat... Once a cheater always a cheater... Hans achieved a lot, but that in it itself isn't a proof, because you can also achieve a lot with cheating... But you can listen to him talk about these... Alireza said he was forfeiting the match and that's what Hikaru was told by chess.com. They were madly trying to get Alireza to play. Alireza said he was too tired to play and wanted to forfeit the match but not the prize. He wanted the 2nd place prize for not playing. That was the issue. It's not that he asked for a break.
