March 2022, myself and 3 mates hiked across Britain's last wilderness, the Knoydart peninsula in north west Scotland. We took the ferry to Inverie and hiked 3 days to the Glenfinnan viaduct, camping one night and spending two other nights in bothies.
We cooked up some epic food, drank far too much and experienced some of Scotlands most rugged and challenging scenery!

amazing video, love how the whole hiking trip has been so well visually documented. I'm planning to hike that part of Scotland in the Knoydart in October (hopefully it'll be overall not too wet and rainy, i know Scotland is always a bit tricky regarding that) probably in the other direction towárds Inverie and taking the boat out to the mainland (if it's still in operation by then)

Really great content, shocked to see how little views there is considering how seemingly professional and entertaining this video is. Thanks for the great insight into wild Scotland.

Excellent Trip Rory, thanks for filming this, Didn't realise it could be done by train and ferry. You guys take outdoor cooking to a new level as well. Phill

Great content. I've watched your other trips/videos, please do more. And wow, your (and the other men's) cooking skills are really impressive. And it must be doubly rewarding to have a great meal and find your pack gets a bit lighter everyday. (Had the deer seen the menu they might not have been so casual at your approach).

Thanks so much! Yes I’m going to try and get out more often and make more videos. We’ve always enjoyed cooking at home so don’t see why it should be any different when hiking!

Can’t believe you managed such fine-dining in the Rough Bounds…packs must have weighed 20kg yet you managed to run for the train. Brilliant stuff.

Amazing idea for a short hiking trip! Do you by any chance have a gpx or the route in a gps map app?
@rorymchenry373
@rorymchenry373 2 ай бұрын
Thanks! I’m afraid not but I’ll I’m sure if you google ‘Inverie to Glen Finnan’ you will find a gpx of it. It’s a quite simple route without much chance of deviation so I never made a gpx of it and just used paper maps. I highly recommend it!

@@rorymchenry373 Okay so the entire path is like a walkable route? I thought it would require you to go off-road most of the way. This is helpful information!
@rorymchenry373
@rorymchenry373 2 ай бұрын
@@RobainOSRS well there are some sections that are more or less ‘path less’ just because of the terrain but on the map there is a marked path.

Awesome video man! That looks like some beautiful scenery. I'd kill to go hiking outside of the United States. I just got into hiking more! Me and my pup travel out of my overland camper I built in the bed of my truck so were able to get to some pretty cool spots to hike! You'll have to check my channel out. Keep up with the awesome content!
