After having visited the official Florida Trail northern terminus at Fort Pickens I backtracked to pick up the Eastern Continental Trail route north into Alabama. This took me through the Blackwater area

I can’t believe I am just now finding your videos on the FT ! From mud to sand ahhh it never disappoints! So much beauty with the grime though! As a FT maintainer, I sure have enjoyed watching all of your videos and perspectives especially in our Chapter Section (Three Lakes Prarie, Forever Florida, swampy Bull Creek & Three Lakes). It’s a constant struggle with growth, weather and water to maintain, keep in h infrastructure intact, acquiring lands and Or access to lands to help get rid of road-walks, but we love the trail. Watching thru hikers like you find the beauty thru it all, as we do, is great inspiration and makes it even more enjoyable maintaining, than it already is! Thanks, kuddos & Happy Trails! 🫶🏽🎉 Nichole , Indian River Chapter

Florida done! Congratulations! You tackled some difficult conditions, and you're moving fast: 16 mi/day. Let's get back to heading north!!!

Thanks! Most days I’m in the low 20s. My overall average just got dragged down by all the foot issues down south

(I’m Pitstop from IG.) There is a military aircraft and helicopter training facility between Milton and Blackwater hence all the aircraft traffic around Blackwater Forest.

If you mix the crystal light peach tea mix you don’t even notice the brown tinge...

Alabama. Couldnt get enough roadwalks from key west and the Florida trail. At least the blackwater trail looks pretty nice.

But once I’m past this section it’s all trail! Well, except I hear the Pinhoti has some road walks also...

Have some doggie treats or chicken bones for the dogs in Alabama on the Pinhoti.
