Today I'm hiking the 25 Fontes, Madeira's most popular levada hike.
I set off early in the morning along the trail to the lagoon and waterfall, before hiking back up via Risco waterfall.
As its Madeira's most popular levada walk, I try to show you if its worth it or not, whether this is one you should do while on the island.

Me and my son went in July, I think we arrived around 9 a.m and it was really busy. It's a great beginner walk. Views are so stunning

It is a good beginner walk, think I started around 8am and it was quiet although it was October so seasonally a bit quieter! Hope you enjoyed it :)

@jetawayjoe we did join a tour because I haven't got the confidence to drive abroad, but yes, my normally introverted son loved it and would like to try more. It was so hot, so I'd recommend taking a hat as well as water
