We are near the end of rainy season (Nov-March). It’s been raining on and off throughout the island, especially in Koolau mountain areas. So, we decided somewhere in Waianae mountain ranges. Last Wed, we hiked Kaena Pt. Today (Sunday), we decided to hike Mokuleia Access Rd and Kealia Trail.
Its trail individually is too easy and short, so I have not hiked the trails before. However, if combined, it’s sort of challenging. It was 14.7 miles with 2684 ft elev gain. The first 4 miles were paved road to the Peacock flats campground. Then, next 4 miles were on dirt roads. The Kealia trail (1.3 miles one way) is the only hiking trail (not paved or dirt roads) with medium difficulty.
