We visit Mt Kosciuszko, the highest peak in mainland Australia at 2228m. There are multiple trails to the summit but we chose the 13km return hike starting at the top of the Thredbo chairlift. The hike was relatively easy with a well-designated hiking path and a gentle ascent. Overall, we loved this hiking trip and we hope that you enjoy the vlog of our hike!

In that park the Blue Lake hike is great, you start with beautiful snow gums, and the glacial lakes at the end reminded me of the Pyrénées. Very nice.

I know! For the past 7 months we have had a grand total of about 5 rainy days! And I'd say 99% of the time has been over 28 degrees 🥵 It was lovely to have some cooler weather though!

That's the crackenback ski lift which takes you to the eagles nest, well, it did about 15 years ago.. Yes its a great walk, on a special raised board walk, this walk provides some of the best views in Australia, and OH, take a jumper with you, it can be frigin cold up there, even in mid summer. And when your'e done with the walk, and back at Thredbo, hop in your car and pop in for a night or two at Lake Crackenback Resort

Thanks for sharing! Wanna ask if any chance of seeing any snake at summer?
@cjexplores

I would say there would be a chance! Snakes like to sit out in the sun and warm on the rocks. But to be honest, they would most likely slither away before you saw them!

One of the most boring hikes I have done in my life... And you forgot to mention that all the aboriginal people in the area have been exterminated by the British.
@cjexplores
@cjexplores Жыл бұрын
Hi Luke, it’s definitely not the most challenging, we agree. And we appreciate your recognition of the indigenous peoples. In our travels we have learnt that the British, Spanish, Portuguese, Scandinavians, ( as well as many more) have all decimated local populations around the world. Placing them under rule of their own leaders amongst other nasty behaviour.
