HIKING THE LADDER OF KOTOR, MONTENEGRO (5 hour hike in Montenegró)

What a MISSION. Figuring out what to do in Kotor, Montenegro wasn't easy. The list is long!
But we decided that we would have our shoes on and were walking out the front door an hour before the sun for an epic Kotor hike!
Lit by an iphone torch we started a 6 hour hike straight up the ladder of Kotor in order to get the best view of the Bay of Kotor at sunrise. It was arguably the best view in Montenegró.
Needless to say we were the only ones we saw the entire way up and were rewarded with incredible views and some animals.
We treated ourselves to some
Montenegrin/Serbian/Bosnia/Croatian/Turkish Burek after the climb😂

Hi Jordan and Emily, great video of climbing the Ladder of Kotor. The views from the top of the trail leading up was really cool. Glad you met up with the goats of the way down. It is amazing how agile they are walking on the steep inclines and rocks.

I love Kotor. I did something similar than you many years ago. Started early in the morning and walked up to the Fortress watching the Sunrise and then continued to a 1650 meters over sealevel mountain. It was so amazing. First the view of Kotor and later over the hill till the open sea. Left you a like. Greetings from Switzerland, Benjamin

You didn't go to the top. Trail turns into a forest and there is a restaurant at the top (It is Europe!!!). When forest clears out then there are more nice views. Why people don't walk that road. No need to pay money and views are better. Early morning is recommended, because it is super hot during the day.
