that statement is true, as tripping and falling would be deadly. If you're a beginner hiker it would be terrifying for sure. However, I think the ledges are more than wide enough to make it across comfortably and safely. Just take your time and be careful. I used to be very scared of heights but I've grown to become more comfortable with it and think its doable. It really depends on the person.

No guides for this trip. Did my research online and spoke to parks staff. Thanks for the compliment, the views definitely made it one of my favourite hikes of the year.

Unfortunately I'm not too sure about that. You can look and see what's available in the town of Banff. Or, if you're flying in from Calgary try and see whats available in Calgary.

Compared to other trails that I have done, the trails are very well maintained and marked. It can be slick depending on conditions but I had no issues with slipping or anything like that. I felt fairly safe, but that is subjective. In the past, I definitely may have been afraid as some sections are narrow with drop-offs on the side. For example, the Huber Ledges. As for the Lake O'Hara area, I had zero issues with bugs. No flies or mosquitos. That may have more to do with the colder and wet weather we had. I’m going back this summer

This was the end of august , very close to September now. Expect that parts of this trail will still have snow and may not be suitable to pass. You may be able to do parts / sections of this trail. Use the maps and ask the staff up there what trail conditions are like and they should be able to help you
