The Pennine Way [south] from the A635 (Holmfirth) in West Yorkshire to Black Hill and onward into Derbyshire, to the ridge line called Laddow Rocks - overlooking Crowden (Woodhead Pass), Peak District National Park.
Hiked on Saturday 14 September, 2019. 4 miles there and 4 miles back.
Start/Finish: Verge parking (plenty available) - A635 (Holmfirth - HD9 2QF - (53°33'40.7"N 1°53'15.9"W).
Distance/Time: 8.1 miles / 13km (about 3 - 4 hours).
Peaks: Black Hill - is the highest point in the historic county of Cheshire, but now lies on the border between the boroughs of Kirklees in West Yorkshire and High Peak in Derbyshire, reaching 582 metres (1,909 ft) above sea level.
The rest of the walk is on ridges, edges and open moorland, apart from as you walk up to Laddow Rocks & some parts of the route up to Black Hill where it is steeper.

It was an ideal hike with great weather and fantastic views during the way up to Black Hill and up on Laddow Rocks.
