Yeah mate... I haven't experienced the serious wet weather, though I have read it can be pretty brutal.. I'm talking with a couple guys about doing the ridge again in October -- not sure if it'll come to fruition yet...I hope the timing works out, I could do with another trip out there! I lost the trail several times, and it pushed my times out to a point where my second night was on a pretty rugged rocky outcrop. It's best to take the book, a compass, and your own solid navigation skills. EDIT: Additional to the rought GPS Co-ords. You'll know the place when you see it. It's on the South side, and you come around a bend into a large, open lush grassed area with a massive rock wall to your right. For memory, it was the only place where I saw this lush green grass. I slept on the grass towards the Western end of the area. The trail skirts around the South side of the grassed area. It's well protected from the North. Though you're very exposed to any weather from the South.

My little cooking station on the first night had a bunch of half burnt rubbish. I hauled all that out, along with a few other bits and pieces.. It is a shame to see people discarding things.. Though I'm sure some are unintentional -- like my lost hat on the exit down from Bluff Knoll.. I miss that hat.
