We put two security camera brands to the test - Uniview and Hikvision. We installed the cameras side-by-side in order to make an accurate comparison.
Both cameras had WDR turned OFF during the day. However, I had to turn WDR ON at night in order to read the license plates without them becoming overexposed.
Also, both cameras were set to 5000 Kbps bitrate in order to make a fair comparison between the two. However, I did notice the Hikvision camera using about 15% higher bitrate after download the footage from both cameras.
