Glad to see I am not the only one who can have crazy grip lock even if it was caused by a distraction, thanks Ezra, sometimes I swear my hand just does not want to release the disc.

I was standing next to the guys that almost got hit by Jake. I had far more sense that getting hit in the face with a disc would be bad and just missed getting tagged by the camera on this. But I gotta give it to those high or day drunk guys, that was a hell of a matrix move at the last second. They were 100% not sober hahah. That spot all weekend was a place that if you stood there for long, a disc was going to fly and almost hit you in the face if you weren’t paying attention. Aaron Gossage also almost tagged me on Saturday.

I’ve been in their position before and know it can be hard to judge where the disc is headed. Like it’s just a sliver and you can’t tell how it’s going to fade and hook on the end. I ended up just throwing up my hand and taking the disc to the palm because I couldn’t judge it in time. In my defense, it was a case of someone yelling “fore” and only having maybe a second or two to react once I spotted the disc headed straight to my face. I’m an athletic spry young man so was surprised I couldn’t dodge it. My guy tried to bend a forehand on a left turning 275 foot hole and hyzered it out 100 feet forward and 100 feet over to me on the tee of the previous hole. Like dude was astronomically far from hitting his line.

@@MrNoName7474 yeah this was an easy shot to mess up so I definitely don’t have any criticism against the players. Downhill 750ft hole, tight fairway, OB everywhere, strong tail wind. Miss your line even slightly on a forehand it’s in the bushes on the right, or turn it at all and it’s landing in the crowd. It was honestly really fun to watch, just had to pay attention! Hahah

Simon may not have gotten that blue sky god back. That's the new glen Isle course in Bailey, CO, and that's a steep cliff off to the left where that disc kicked.
