I edited this opening HHOF (not Hockey Hall Of Fame...) in 1971. Took us over 24 hours because it was long before digital, just shortly after razor and marker. We had 34 frames of lightening to re-edit and try to simulate live time electrical storm action. I did go home for a shower and then returned to finish it. Vincent Price, to this day four decades later stands as my all-time greatest influence and absolutely favourite actor.

John Bradford, who worked on the show, remembers working with Vincent: “Of the hundreds of celebrities I’ve met in the biz, Vincent Price will always be my favourite, as a result of this show. We shot about four hundred bits with him over a four day session. He accepted the gig because he loved kids and saw the innovation in this vehicle. He allegedly worked for around $13,000 in total when that was commonly his daily appearance rate. He would read the script to himself, put his head down for a few seconds and do a single take read on-camera. Next! At one point the crew was exausted by his pace and he suddenly disappeared. Everyone thought he MUST have gone to collapse somewhere. He had hailed a cab, gone to the local beer store and brought a couple of two-fours into the station. We all sat cross-legged in the studio and listened to his stories of Hollywood and Cecil B. DeMille. The next break we took, he had his picture taken with each crew member in the make-up room. One of the guys blew them up to 8x10’s that night and he wrote a personal note to each of us on it. Mine still hangs proudly in my office.” - John Bradford, 1998

I'd like to say this scared us, but our room was just off the living room so they'd be watching horror movies and we 3 were all around the same age, so my mom called us Huey, Lewy and Dewy cuz were always peeking, watching from inside the room. Salem's Lot was funny to us, Jaws we rooted for the shark. Only 2 things scared me. Ninja's cause nobody saw them coming. The Fog didn't scare me when I saw it, but I started living with my aunt down the country road and would walk down it every evening by myself and the huge farm light shone but once I hit the tree line I would run my little ass off being only like 7 all the way to her house and every time Fog hit I ran that much faster.

Classic Vincent Price. I noticed he keeps his eyes wide open without blinking. I loved how he turns the last word "Frightenstein" from a frightened tone to a devilish laugh. This aired in the early 1970's on KCOP (now My13) in Los Angeles when I was in pre-school. I always liked the Wolfman segments where Igor and the Wolfman green-screen danced to the current pop songs of the day.

@@Ukeepthelies8471 Hi there. Yes I loved this show as a kid in the seventies myself. In later years, it was not uncommon to see Billy Van walking around downtown Toronto venues and bars. One time me and my buddies were walking down Sherbourne St--- a divey area back then and spotted Billy Van on the street going to a pub. We called him out and he gave us double peace signs.

Legend has it that during the months these episodes filmed the cast stayed in a rented house together and it was a massive drunkest. It's 1970-71 with a bunch of actors and comedians all working together.

This was such a good show. And brings back so much memories. It's been over 25 years since I watched this show. Another classic much like G.I. Joe and Transformers. They should do a show like this again. But then again, nobody will be like Billy Van. He was the best. Portraying 10 characters to perfection. Just awesome stuff. He should've been on SNL or something. I guess perhaps who could follow in his footsteps are people like Mike Myers, Will Farrel, Ben Stiller, etc.

Great show as a kid back in the 70's. I remember catching this show on Channel 38 in Boston (75/76 era). You could only catch it on school days off or vacations, because It would be on around 8:30 - 9:00, after main morning cartoons. I'll have to scan through episodes to confirm, but I can recall in many episodes, that the professor would do a segment explaining about different about small animals, and after the segment, Igor would ask his master if he could keep it. And a loud thunderous clap would echo, and Igor would come back all sad, telling the professor he couldn't. And who could ever forget the Wolfman dancing on the screen to the songs he played.
