The word for moon and the word for leg in Korean have the same exact pronounciation. So Jungkook says "The moon is big isn't it" and Namjoon holds up a chicken leg and says yes lol

I thought the same thing about the moon! Lol Then I saw that the explanation for that was actually in the top left corner of the commercial but some of it was covered up by the Kookies and Cream logo so it was easy to miss. 💜

What's super funny in a couple of the Hyundai ads is that J-hope is wearing his $70,000 watch - which costs twice what the Hyundai Palisade costs! ARMYs went into hysterics when we saw that - and J-hope has been teased for his watch ever since - like during Jin's birthday last year. Hyundai pre-orders also went more than double the amount of any other car manufacturer when these ads were airing!

😂😂😂 just to be clear the Bangtan Burger and the lotion add that turns you into Jimin were parodies of commercials 😂 like fake commercials they did in their first year before they were in actual adds. Such babies! But Bangtan Burger will forever be iconic

The Lotte Duty Free one is both a commercial and MV. It's called "You're So Beautiful", I recommend watching it. It's short but it's so lit. They have a version with English subtitles on it. BTS were embassadors for Lotte Duty Free, which is basically South Korea's biggest shopping center.

Actually, Korean companies don't overtime. It's usually a set salary so people stay in the office till all the work is done and some Korean workers could be there till 10-11pm. So big companies often let workers out early on Wednesday so the workers can spend time with their families. That's what was being promoted in the commercial at 6:36

Fun fact: Suga wrote the Wednesday Family song for the campaign. There's a video out there of fetus BTS dancing to the song at an outdoor event and the poster kept their cameraphone on Suga the entire time and he looks like he wants to die as his hardcore rapper ass is forced to cheese it up cutely to the song he wrote. It's GREAT.

Korean work culture is expected to work late nights most days...except for recently, Wednesday evenings/nights most companies now allow their employees to take off to be with family! So that's where the Wednesday Family TV nights come in!! 🙏🏼👑

Just so u know yes they did a huge campaign for hyundai that car sold out everywhere not kidding and the cocunut one is for cocunut chicken not shrimp and its a really popular chicken place and the one at the end was for the spicy chicken they sell that the sauce is so good u finish it by mixing it in rice( its a common thing to finish a fried meal by either mixing your rice with it or just making fried rice so good)the one at the school was actually for a school well an academy and a school uniform

The Bangtan Burger and the face wash with Jimin were ads that the boys made themselves for their radio show Kkul Fm. They were still relatively unknown and weren't getting any sponsors so they just made their own ads. 😂😂

At 11:50 it's a fabulous commercial for Lotte Duty Free stores, one of the hugest store chains in South Korea. You can get lost in their skyscraper department stores for HOURS!

the chicken ad where they showed moon is actually a play on words in korean which foreigners won't understand coz in korean moon = 달 (dal) and leg= 다리 (dari) in this context chicken leg. When u use the word moon in speaking or writing subject marker is added so it changes to 달이(dari) which has same pronounciation as leg (dari) thats why there was connection between the two. As these compilation are made by foreigners so they don't understand this aspect hence finding it funny. Hope i was able to explain this🥺.

Yeah it was apart of their variety show rookie king. That show was like a parody of different programs that were similar to how a television network would air programs. With their own commercials and everything.

Fun Fact: BTS were being interviewed in America either in 2017 or 2018, and were asked what is their go to snack and RM answered for everyone when he said, "Korean Fried Chicken or BBQ chicken." All the members were nodding their heads vigorously in agreement. After watching this BTS commercial compilation video, I finally get the Fried Chicken reference. Now I want to try Korean Fried Chicken.

"Dall" (moon) and "dalk" (chicken) have very similar pronounciation in Korean 😆. Thats why they use moon.

One of the many MANY things I love about BTS is that they may wear and use some expensive things, but unless they're the brand ambassadors like PUMA or FILA, they barely ever advertise for them. They do commercials for food and drinks, or phones and massage chairs lol. Things that people can afford, or that help people, or to use in their daily lives. Some of the most recent things they've done were tourism videos for Seoul, promotions for Starbucks, and now commercials for Chilsung Cider and Baskin Robbins! They're so huge, yet they're over here like "Hey you know what? This ice cream's pretty great!" I really feel like I can trust the little things they endorse. 🥰💜

Why the chicken drum and the moom? "Dari" can mean "The moon is" and "leg" in Korean. So JK said The Moon is very big, but RM says yeah the leg is very big.

The way the burger king crew responded, seems like she's been asked the same question multiple times. ahahaha! I remember the ARMYs is UK posted the Ticketmaster IVR. They literally recorded that there is no updates on BTS tickets yet coz of they were literally receiving lots of calls about it. LOL! The way BTS makes everything better. No wonder Palisade really sold so much, Hyundai was so overwhelmed, they could not keep up with the pre-order that time. hahahaha! The recent bangtan commercials are still so good. haha
