At breakfast, Kiyomasa tried to keep the lettuces all to himself, but he dropped most of them.
Fortunately, the other gorillas were not interested in those lettuces, so He was able to get them later.
Kiyomasa then demanded that his father Shabani check his butt.
It was a very good day.

It’s hard for Momo because he wasn’t raised by a silverback. He doesn’t know that playfulness.

⁠@@jujubegold, that playfulness is typical of Shabani. Not a lot of silverbacks aren’t like him. His brother Haoyo doesn’t play much with his kids. Shabani is like a perpetual kid inside. Lol

@@stevemorris6790 there’s moments when Haoko plays with his kids. Have you seen the videos of him picking up his babies and then runs away? It’s adorable.

@@jujubegold , yes I adore when he do that for sure but I think Shabani is more consistent doing everyday. I think he hasn’t grown inside as he continues to be a big kid , like to playing all the time . lol I Saw him personally at the end of April for 3 days and he didn’t disappoint .

This family of gorillas is very unique. They have very distinct personalities and behaviors and there's clearly a very high level of intelligence here(Shabani, Kiyo and Annie in particular) Most of the time there's no drama going on and when it does happen it never seems to last very long The most interesting fact here is that Shabani clearly LIKES having his son around even though now he is a silverback. They fight but there's still a very high level of tolerance when there usually is none Momotaro and his fully grown son are unfortunately forced to coexist but clearly they don't like being around each other(which is the normal behavior for silverbacks) but here you see the males together very often and actively seeking one another to play

I agree. I have been following this family of gorillas for years and I think that Shabani is the mastermind, a mediator even though he sometimes gets into mischief. But he never acts like the other gorilla leaders. This family is very united and I think it will remain that way forever. It's a shame that Shabani doesn't have more children but his behavior continues to be that of a protective, playful and loving father (especially with his children). Annie is an "eminence" She is just like her father!! Just another gorilla; TAYARI and her son JABALI from D'jecco's troop are just as intelligent (or more so).

@@joylee6968I agree. Nene although loving to Kiyo to an obsession only allows AI in her fold. AI is much lower on the intelligence tree and doesn’t do much of anything but sit next to NeNe and sponge off Annie’s playful moods.

1:53 that little juggle thing Kiyomasa does with his food always cracks me up. 2:20 Nene can't even be bothered to shout or chase after Annie at this point. Just wants to eat her leeks and cucumbers in peace (most of which Kiyomasa steals at 3:20).

You probably can hang that up about Annie not hitting her.From what heard the grandma, apparently, has probably done this to herself by treating annie horribly in her youth.So, annie has the memory of a elephant and won't let it go.The mother loves that son so she probably doesn't care what he does 😅😅

Kiyo is so greedy 😂. I wonder why they don’t get some of the foods I see the Momotaro troop get. A change up with their food I’m sure would be a treat for this troop.

As gorillas don't straightup drink water unless they're _really_ thirsty, it's best to feed food with high water content such as those lettuces and cucumbers in the warmer months to keep their hydration levels good. But that said, I'm pretty sure such a large zoo will have mammal nutritionists on board to prescribe the best diet for this troop, for whatever reason.

Same old diet nothing new,just the boring enclosure nothing new,no trees or bark or branches to chew on,lucky they like to play with each other a lot.

You here just to post bad things about Shabani zoo and troop . Everyone knows that momotoro troop is your favorite . First this is a new enclosure and they plant trees but they haven’t completely grown , they have bark and matter of fact they enclosure is much bigger and more space than the momotoro enclosure.

@@stevemorris6790 I don't have favourites I love them all ,and as I said they are bored shitless there is no enrichment,nothing,I care about them not anything or anyone else.I do not post bad things at all I say it as I see it and if you don't agree then that's ok,that's your problem not mine. :)
