Appreciate you guys telling and showing it as it is... What bothers me most about RC "toys" like this are the broken dreams. Maybe a dad gets this for a kid of his with the hopes of them spending some fun time together and it turns into a huge frustration and disappointment. Might even turn them off entirely to the RC hobby - what a shame that would be.

It’s a good size for a complete brushless upgrade and rudder servo. 6s would get it up and running as long as the hull is good for the power and speed.

I bought one of these hulls a month or so ago from eBay for like $30 shipped. I plan to pick up 2 small brushless motors and a beefy ESC to get it moving. I plan to put a rudder on it and with some luck. i can get this thing moving.

You guys should put a cheap brushless set up in this and try it again before you get rid of it !! I’ve had 2 NQD 4wd drift cars that were absolutely amazing especially both were under 40 dollars but i guess you can’t trust them all lol 😂

£68. Isn’t worth it, but since you guys have it it’s perfectly doable to fit a Dual motor ESC in to it may be twin Small Lipo 2s it could potentially be flying machine you could change the pitch on the props too

I got given this boat by my wife. I was hoping that you would have a better experience than I did. Mine was better but not by much. First up the coupler to one of the propellers broke which I 3D printed a replacement and then something electrical happened which fried the battery which is a shame because the battery was the best part of the boat🤣. Ever since then it has sat idle under the bed hoping that the wife doesn’t see it and I don’t have to explain to her that it’s poor quality. It was a lovely thought though. 🤔. Ps please don’t tell her I said that 😂

The shaft melted on either of the couplers from prop or the motor super glue can fix it, I had that problem with mine after running it on a 3s 😂

What if you retro fit it with better motors and esc. Sometimes you can buy things like this for bigger projects ie:) you buy it for the hull only strip it out retro fit it with heavy duty gear then make it screen across the lake . So its not a complete loss . But yeah it's pretty disappointing they sell stuff like this . Thanks for posting guys keep safe cheers!

My guess is that because the prop shaft support bearings are slinging lubricant everywhere, the left prop shaft probably popped out of its coupling to the motor, allowing the motor to freespin. You should be able to repair it. That said, those motors are ... sad. They are definitely not designed for full power continuous running, and will probably burn out after several "fast" runs. You can put a larger battery in this boat, but I would recommend against it - the small battery is probably a safety feature to keep you from burning it up in one charge!

Only good thing about this boat is that it is huge inside to have a starter in respect of putting your own parts into it.. but I would not buy it just for that..unless it is less than an actual starter boat shell of that style.

I watch your content once in a while and I have never ever seen such a crappy rc vehicle. I mean, there were some at least questionable items on your channel. This might be the worst ever. But don't throw it away. The hull looks pretty cool, though. Maybe you make it a project to level up your building skills. Would be nice to see... I've seen seller's trying to get over $150 for a $30 cheap junk ...I paid the $30 price tag & one of the props fell off so I filled the inside with foam & replaced the motors & different battery & props for sh_ts & giggles..

It is a cool looking boat. Before you actually found out about the one motor turn, that rudder made NO sense! Reminded me of those tub and kiddy pool boats (wind the motor and position the direction) I'm sure if someone knew how to, it'll look good on the water.

I’ve had that boat acouple years back and I was running it and the ESC/receiver caught fire in the water luckily no one was close to it very dangerous. Only the second run in as well

I found one exact same on junk recently...it was all complete in box, and this morning I decided to try to set it up. I admit I'm not an RC toy nerd ie only having limited experience, but the pistol-grip type RC it came with pretty much renders me speechless with the sheer stupidity and ambiguity of its arrangements for putting in --8-- AA batteries, trying to judge the correct way around for each row of batteries, and then, with 4 rows of two batteries in place (the passage tunnels for the batteries are not snug enough to locate them firmly, allowing the batteries to easily pop out of line wobbly and cock half-sideways) you have this challenge of trying to get the battery compartment lid snapped back in and on correctly against the spring tension of the 4 wobbly rows of batteries pushing up against it. Anyway, after all that, the three LED indicator lights on RC do not illuminate, so either batteries are not seating on contacts properly, or 40mhz RC hand-unit is a dud.(If they'd gone for say a 27mhz RC, I'd probably be able to find a spare substitute one, but 40mhz ones will be harder to find) Inside boat, the two thin red/white wires leading to the boat power on/off button switch are also disconnected from the small printed circuit board under button, the aerial line mast rod does not seem to fit into its support hole on rear gunwale..am I missing something there? All in all I doubt that I'm destined to see the thing working, even though neither engine is seized prop shafts turn freely, props in good cond,-- reading other reviewers seems like engine overheat seizures are commonplace. ..I was just telling someone other day that Chinese have come a long way making manufactured articles, but this thing is maybe a throw-back to the bad old days.I'm pissed with it as it is even though it was free--I still wasted an hour this morning trying to get it cranked up, so if I'd dropped US45-AUD80 on it, I'd feel like a right chump.What do you reckon some savvy enthusiast would pay for this thing for parts?

You need to review the UDI ARROW 005..I had one but unfortunately lost it in the strong river current after we had alot of rain, when it went into lipo cutoff mode

Why don't you tell Banggood you want your money back? They should do something for you, as much as you promote their products. I just got the new F4U Corsair and the rudder didn't work. They offered me an $8 discount on my next purchase and I said no I want a fully functioning F4U. They told me they would send me another one for $25, which I accepted. Not too happy with the quality control at Banggood.
