Even after finishing season 3 and watching the show over and over again, this is easily in my top three favorite shows of all time. No question. There is just a magic to this show and it deserves all the love and praise it gets.

_Hilda_ at it's core is a show that encapsulates the beauty of innocence and childhood. That's what I love most about it. It takes me back a time when I didn't have to think about anything, back to the weekends, and holidays, and summer vacations of my childhood where I could just let my imagination run wild and let it take me on an adventure. In an age where current political issues invade every aspect of our everyday lives, and forces us to confront the darker side of human nature, _Hilda_ serves as a welcome reminder of what it was to be innocent.

came just after watching the movie and I didn't think someone could put the feeling into words as well as you did. Looking back at when I first started watching the show, I can completely relate to the wonders of wandering and exploring even if I may not have done much of it and Hilda is the embodiment of that feeling. Every episode of that first season, and the following ones, take you to somewhere new but it feels familiar like you've been there before. Amazing video, I can wait to watch more from you

Hilda helped ignite a curious and adventurous spirit in me I didn't think I had last year. I found myself exploring my city and its beautiful surrounding in a new way. It's truly a very special show to me. Great video!

You guys don’t understand how much I’d do for more Hilda

Hilda is definitely a favourite that has crept into my heart since I saw the series. It really evokes that childlike sense of wonder and adventure in a beautiful way and still teaches lessons us older folk can learn to apply in our own lives as well. Well written quality storytelling. Very relatable insights sir, the same kind of applies to my childhood too and how I view going through adulthood today. Even as a 22 year old guy I love this show and the comic. It definitely makes me want to live out that childlike joy and curiosity and wonder again even as a grown man. Awesome analysis!

Came over here after finishing S3. It left a hole in my heart. I want more, but feel like it would be okay if this is truly the end. First article I looked up on S4 said not likely but possible. I feel like there far more stories to tell. How do all these supernatural stuff interact? Have a Troll wonder into a sparrow scout camp ground with Hilda taking the roll of translator and negotiator, learn what that THING from s3 Chapter 6 is up to, see what happened to Erik after he stepped down. The movie showed Witch and Troll magic don't mix, so lets see what happen when the 2 sides butt heads. The Fairy Isle seems to by dying, what effects will that have on it and the world at large? And don't forget to properly add their new friend to these stories, as well as her dad. Modern Fantasy Slice of life is such a rare thing to find. It also not superhero or secret world.

Sorry, pet peeve of mine, Hilda's mother is Johanna, not Joanne. Everything else is great! I love Hilda, and you do a great job breaking down what's great about the show!

your channel is Brillant and this was an excellent video essay :) I don't know about anyone else but I see a lot of similarities between Hilda and Studio Ghibli films, their messages are very similar, nature, balance, no characters that are just "evil" for the sake of it and the use of using a child's innocent perspective of the world. I can't help but feel Hilda and its creator Luke Pearson are both very underrated.

"Let's go back to our childhoods, where we used to go outside..." Us gen zs: wait you guys went outside?? Seriously though right off the bat it's super interesting to hear that that was a legitimate experience of childhood just a generation ago. We went outside, we played... but we were never just a group of kids left to our own devices in a wilderness just outside the suburbs. That in itself is a fantasy to me and is incredible that it was once a typical experience.

WHOOOOOOO YEAH! One of the best shows I’ve ever seen. Only one I can think of off the top of my head that can top it is amphibia.

I remember watching the first season when It came out and I was sick I remember stumbling upon a gem this series is really amazing

Just finished season 3 of Hilda, it was great! The Show was incredible. Although i wonder about the reason for adding Characters like Kaisa that weren’t in Hilda Folk into The Netflix Series.
