Polls on this show he gets higher numbers in general election than Hilary against all Republican opponents. People don't trust her which is also represented in polls. It only take minutes of research to see she has changed her mind in some cases for the worst on major policy issues. On a positive policy change she began to support gay marriage in 2010 switching from her previous position that marriage was not only between a man and a woman but a sacred bond.

Yes, that woman should be the best qualified candidate, but it would do wonders for young women all over the country to see an able woman in the highest office of government. At around the age of 13, girls in general almost completely lose interest in leadership careers (government, business, or otherwise) while boys maintain that interest. It's a complicated sociological conversation that is still unfolding, but I would imagine that the fact that young girls don't see women in leadership roles throughout the history of all of humanity has something to do with it. I agree wholeheartedly that the first woman to be elected should absolutely be the most qualified, but I don't think it's a bad thing to say that we're due for our first female president.
