Seeing this interview makes me despise the 24 hour news networks even more. We could make way better character judgements if we got the opportunity to hear the interviewee tell their story in a calm situation with no one yelling over top of them. It just brings out a more relatable, more humanizing side to politicians that, let's face it, we're never ever shown anywhere else.

pat mccrotch 100%. I wish this happened before the election. Her expertise was widely unknown. The relationships she formed and the experience gained is incredible. I never heard this because it was always just a news anchor battling another- never informative of the nominee as a whole person and not just a juicy story target. Humanize them.

@Preston Hanson It is amazing what people will vote for - we now have Trump. If she is a criminal and Trump voters are certain of it - show the facts - prove it. You throw out words used by pundits paid to spew misinformation - -"criminal", "free stuff". This is not about free stuff. Politics is not that black and white. Good politics embraces balance. We the people. I hope we can soon move to more centered ground where real conversations can occur and the hate talk fires are cooled off.

So true. In 2016 this would have helped Hillary greatly, but can you imagine the impact it would have had on Trump? Imagine him having to be this candid and talk about his childhood and accomplishments his had. It would have sunk his 'man of the people' image. He could never speak for 2 hours straight where he is not controlling the dialogue and come out shining.

It’s not just Howard (though he’s the most gifted interviewer of our age). When politicians are no longer active, they feel like they can get off talking points and be themselves. They’re no longer walking on eggshells - which Hillary was most of all. I remember seeing Bill Clinton on Letterman years after his presidency and he was a completely different person. So much more real, and his intellect really shined through.

She has always been a caring, patriotic, charming, and hard working person. When she was your Senator, the Republicans loved her. When she left the State Department , her popularity was at a high 70%. She has always been highly respected around the world. When she campaign in 2016, for your country’s highest political,office, she had had friends, from her childhood street, kindergarten, grade school and college that had happily campaigned for her, all over your country. Trump had not one single friend, vouching for his “ good character.” That was well documented. That alone told me everything! Many people like you, unfortunately had chosen to believe all the lies, propagated about her by con man Trump, and the Russian trolls. She would have been a magnificent President. All of us ( the world) were robbed. Trump is the most repugnant, corrupted, inept, narcissistic President, the US had given to the world.

@@millyherzog4640 Well said, Milly. I have no idea where people all these ideas that's Trump actually had character or competence or that Hillary was some sort of robot-like monster, but I guess the Russian propaganda worked as intended. @kevinfisher1345
@kevinfisher1345 3 жыл бұрын
@@zeppelin0110 "or that Hillary was some sort of robot-like monster" That is likely due to several reasons. First because she has been a female breaking grounds in new territories and had to learn to be cautious (which she talked about in first two parts of this interview). She has learned to have a stand offish cautious approach to get ahead and more importantly to have that drive and extra push to stay the course. All of which makes her appear to be robot like. Plus then throw in the fact her lies at times when it really makes no or very lil difference. Like she did in this very video about 'no not at all, never' BS when Howard was asking about her thinking of being more then just first lady governor and running for governor herself. Odd that at one stage when Bill was not doing well in the polls, they conducted poll to see how well she fared. But no NEVER did she think about doing such, pfft. Why lie about such a thing, its just like she gives pre-calculated responses regardless of the real truth and this is her being candid, on top of her more public robot like perception. Its just the lil things that adds to it. Had nothing to do with Russian propaganda. Anyway it has been nice to see this other side of Hillary and this interview. Never been fan of either Hillary or Trump, but both are still people and human and both have their pro's and con's. Hillary definitely has plenty of pro's, as her outstanding career and many achievements shows .. but she is not all innocent either.

@Afrimusican
@Afrimusican 3 жыл бұрын
Look America is complicated! It's people even more so. It's not always a matter of.."the best candidate based on policies, experience, and intelligence" because if it was, trust me when I say America knew HRC was over-qualified..and yet she could not overcome the likeability problem she faced almost all her life and career. Skill is one thing but Charisma is just as important which is why, in this interview, they use Barack Obama and Bill Clinton as prime examples of what she is not. We're not simple at all. Believe it or not the seemingly rascist people who voted for Trump also voted for Obama when it was his turn. It's all in how you carry it so I would say consistency of charisma + skill is both what we look for in our candidates and our downfall as a nation. It's just the way it's been but with everything going on hopefully that's changing for the better moving forward.

It's like friends talking amongst each other and you are just sitting around drinking cocktails or lemonade and just talking but really talking. Hillary, props for showing up and doing this. Howard's reputation is misunderstood in my opinion. I feel like it's coming out more and more his reasons for why he chose to use such blatant content, "shock factor" content to fight against the FCC/censorship and fight for freedom of speech on a public platform and is now using his talent to just be and not have to fight anymore. He fought and got to where he is at and finally doing what he was born to do and is having serious interviews that people actually want to hear. It's not superficial at all and I love it.

As an Australian I find it weird how the greatest country on earth ( besides Australia lol ) is so against health care , tax dollars are the people's dollars. Your health is the more important then anything so wtf ??

Well if we elected Trump over Hillary Clinton, then what does that tell you about us Americans? It's very easy to manipulate and brainwash Americans.

I have always loved Hillary, but since the election my view of her was tainted because her character was viciously attacked and I allowed myself to think "she's not the best, but she's better than Trump." However, the truth is she is absolutely amazing, and I truly believe that she was the best person for the job. Her work and intellect is incredible and I hope that she will be remembered for the great work she accomplished.

Jacob, THATS WHAT THEY DO!!! They repeat the names so many times that you are convinced that they are bad. That is what they are doing to AOC, ILIAN OMAR, NANCY PELOSI etc. It gets to a point that hearing their name makes you shiver and you don’t even know why.

I've always been an HRC fan -- heard her speak when she was first lady. Here, though, she's absolutely magnificent, luminous. And I have to say, so is Howard Stern. And until now I'd never liked Stern. Who knew there'd be such electric energy between Howard Stern and Hillary Clinton.

Jacob Gottesman being better than trump shouldn't be the standard, she still has a horrible record, go look back all the disgusting shit she said about Obama in 2008

Who knew that Howard Stern could be such an amazing interviewer. He really could have been a serious journalist had he wanted to go that way. This is one of the best interviews of a public figure that I've ever watched. As good as the best Barbara Walters interviews. Hats off, Howard. You did really good.
