“You can not help, but do something. The only way to stop doing anything is understanding the nature of that choice. The nature of intentionality inherit in it that has nothing to do with you, and then the degree of your responsibility is that you can add to it by intending “this” than account of “that”. “ ❤️😌

I understand Jesus to have said (poetically, not clearly) that we should do good with no expectation of result (skillful action). Fx "do with the right hand what the left hand cannot see", "do not be a hypocrite and do good to be seen, but do good in secret"

So concerning oneself and engaging with the content of the thought is how one distracts himself from the nature of the thought, and that is what proliferation and acting out (of one's sense of self into the external world independent of my experience) is? And that's ayoniso manasikara - attending wrongly?

I think we have to think about first discussing Dhamma. Which Dhamma we have to understand in this book?I want to suggest you Paticcasamuppada. we need to understand this Dhamma, so Nanavira place this word on first step in this book.
