The Ingersoll Rand 114GQC Air Hammer kzfaq.infoUgkxqqoaX03nrziKwF7Bjjcc71YzLEleMvOS was just the tool I needed. I Use it to remove stuck bolts. If held at the right angle you can cut slightly into the bolt. Then turn the air hammer to where it will hammer the stuck bolt to unspin the bolt. Given a little practice it works great. This air hammer gives you the control needed to get the job done right. Very powerful yet still does not seem to have as much vibration as other guns I have used. One of the best I have gotten my hands on.

In Summer 1997 I repaired this Model (and only this model ) in my SummerJob at the Hilti Repair Center in Vienna. It was at that time I realized: I had to stay in School! Seeing this model again after decades again, gives me nostalgic feeling :)

Since it was not possible to fix it by Hilti, I decided to do it myself. Great piece of equipment and would felt wrong to let it get scrapped. Piece costed me about 25€ and it works like before : destroying floors, walls, ...!

@@timdv81 A good idea indeed. Easy to maintain, and a straight forward build. I am happy to see you recieved a metal conrod..... back in the days I had to replace broken ones with PLASTIC (!) conrods. --> Planned obsolecense. :(

@@Jstar82 got it from a German site since it was no longer available at Hilti. Crazy, a plastic conrod as you know what forces it sometimes has to take.

Please, tell me what is the maximum diameter of Core bit that I can use on it?, I've searched the internet for the manual but I couldn't find anything, I mean it is made 1982 but still, nothing!!...on the internet!!!?

I’ve got a loose bolt inside so it doesn’t allow me to pull it back fully to lock and get the top cap off as the metal part under it doesn’t sit low and in place, any idea how to get this sorted,

do you have any idea how I would change the carbon brushes on this? mine has stopped working and I can't figure how to get into it. I took the outer cover off to expose the fan from the bottom and that's as far as I can get lol. I don't want to do damage and would appreciate help! It's a TE72

unscrew the two black plastic hinged doors at the base and lift up. The bushes are underneath. Hook out and replace.

I used a metal pindriver and a hamer to unlock this part (you see me unscrewing it on 00:24) after removing the rubber protection. I remember it was seriously locked! You will see a hole on this metal part, tap it counter clockwise.

Thanks for the great video! Unfortunately I can't unscrew the head (step 1). I tried manhandling it with a big pipe wrench but it will not budge. Any ideas on how to proceed?

Hello, i used a metal pin and a hamer to unscrew the head (part on 0:24). I took some serious taps and you must hit it counter clockwise.

@@timdv81 Thanks. I managed by putting a chisel bit in the machine and clamping it in a vice. Then I broke the cap loose with a big pipe wrench.

1982 >>> This machine was made 38 years ago..., Dam* I want one, but looks like there are struggles when needing to repair this old tool, so I'm not sure if it is the right machine for me, it is tough, but no one produces parts for it, so every time I need to repair it, I have to go through the internet to find someone in the german Ebay that might have the broken part!!?, or a broken TE 72 that I can buy to get that piece out of it and use it in my current tool!!. I don't know about you, but this is gonna be worse than getting a new expensive rotary hammer with a warranty and fixable body.

The gear housing and conrod chamber need to be filled with 200ml of Hilti synthetic gear oil, not grease.

+Atanasov .Stole : I ordered it via Ebay Germany. It costed me about 26 euro. I tried to order it directly from Hilti but they don't make these parts anymore.

I used a big screwdriver that I put in the hole, then I put an iron bar over the screwdriver to have a longer shaft. Then hit the bar with a hammer until it got loose.

But people say you have to put it in neutral mode and clamp it in a vise with a chisel in locked position. Otherwise the internal housing can break. In which mode you unsrew the chuck with tje screwdriver?
