One of my favourite elevators to ride on - The bell is a classic, high-speed traction, nice interior and fixtures, no noisy voiceover or annoying beeps, and access to the top floor...What more can you ask for?

They've got rid of the old indicator and replaced it with a boring LCD with tiny number. Other than that, everything remain original.

2022 update: This building has become voco hotel, the Hilton shifted to where the mandarin hotel used to be. Lift has a high chance of remaining intact from the 2018 refub, since the voco brand is designed for landlords to minimize upgrading costs

Yeah, they didn't touch the interiors. But they retrofitted the old call buttons into new call stations. HPL has recently been given the green light by URA to tear this building down along with Forum and HPL House, but they haven't planned out the deadlines or started doing anything.

@@PL1Lifts then wouldn't ihg who is behind voco complain? Or is there a new building already under construction for voco to move into?

@@chookwangzhee1889 IHG doesn't own the actual building iinw. And the hotel will probably just cease to exist like Novotel Clarke Quay did.
