The majestic toyota hilux. Most reliable vehicle in the world. I have a 1998 toyta hilux 2.8 and i still brag about it were ever i go. Its got over 380 000 on the clock and the engine was never even opened. I even got water in my engine once from trying to cross water to deep. It took my 10 minutes to get it started again and it just keeps running. I have had ford owners come walk up to me, shake my hand and ask my if they could buy my truck because its just indestructable. I'd never give it up. Dont believe me? Go see the top gear toyota hilux torture test!.

They do not have the same power as the 22r (1985) but they do accelerate fast due to the turbo

Man I don't understand you, the hilux is more like a cut down version of the Tacoma, look at detailed specs first. There are small disadvantages but overall the Tacoma is much more capable.

Too similar to Tacoma, they will cannibalize each other. (Though Toyota might eventually develop one vehicle to replace both Hilux and Tacoma...)

In Australia they used to sell them with a 4 litre V6. (now you can't get anything bigger than the 2.8 litre diesel.)
