Himalayan 450 Tripper Dash New Update! | Easy Step-by-Step Installation Guide

2 ай бұрынHello folks, as of 17 May 2023 a new FOTA ( Firmware Over The Air ) Update is available for the Tripper Dash of New Himalayan 450.
In this video I have shown the process of installing the update, follow the steps shown in the video to install the update.
It is a very easy process and it should take around 8 minutes to install.
**Important
Do not stop the update in between.
Make sure, the phone battery is sufficient before starting the update.

Appreciate your efforts. But what's the use of this video?? Atleast tell what are the changes post update.. don't we know how to click a button?

This video was intended to share the update process experience, like it went smoothly or there were some issues, how long it took etc etc. And there are no new things in the dash after the update so nothing to share there, however as per the information from Royal Enfield the update will improve connectivity and improve to the ride experience (the are claiming smoother ride). I didn't have any connectivity issue earlier but would be testing the smoother ride experience claim shortly. So stay tuned 😅

@@pedropaulo7922 No, still you need to keep your phone unlocked for full screen navigation. Once locked it switches to turn by turn tripper navigation.

Navigation mode on himalayan is hell mode in my phone

How many mobile data will be consumed ?

It's just a screen caste, means whatever is on your phone screen it would be displayed on the dash and in case of Royal Enfiled app it only castes the Map screen, so dash doesn't uses data on it's own. Whatever data is consumed it would be consumed by App on the phone. And app uses significant amout of data while using navigation, I do not have any exact figure but since you have asked I would try to find it and will share. However it drains the phone's battery very quickly and phone gets really hot.

As per the msg they have sent in WhatsApp: Upgrade your Tripper Dash to the latest firmware version* and ensure seamless connectivity and smoother rides. So my speculation is: Some connectivity related fixes and may be some tuning related to ride profile 🤔

@@Shivam_Yadav1998 Simply register/create profile with your WhatsApp number on Royal Enfield app or website, you will start receiving updates in WhatsApp.

@@OnceARider I'm already registered everywhere with royal Enfield. I have already added my bikes in the app too but still not WhatsApp update.
