@@user-mj6gq6vo9u The tungsten shrapnel certainly penetrate the ground. That's quite impressive. I think your English is a bit incorrect. Collins dictionary says "Boring is the process of creating a larger circular hole from a hole that has already been drilled." Another definition, from another source "boring refers to the act of drilling a hole, or the hole itself." Perhaps you should use the plural, at least, since there were many holes. I might use the word when referring to creating a hole in something slowly. I hope this has been helpful.
