It is good to know that tribal languages of the indigenous people are well preserved by them.

Best regards, beautiful and dear people from all the villages of the ESEQUIBO territory. Receive a warm hug and good energy, I take this opportunity to remind you that you are Venezuelans by birth and that you have all the constitutional guarantees as citizens and additionally as indigenous peoples. You, as Venezuelans, are free from all racial discrimination, the right to your land titles, which since time immemorial you have worked. I say goodbye, not before thanking you for uploading such a beautiful video.

I grew up in Lethem back in the 60s early 70s and left for GT as a teenager. Wow, have those places developed in their own limited way! I'm now in the USA and hoping to visit the interior after the Covid and its mask-wearing masquerade is over. Just curious, what were you folks doing there? I miss the 'raw' natural life where one can enjoy the moonlight in all its glory.

Wind power energy is a very good thing too. Government need to invest in more houses and water system and help these people. They really need help. Thanks you so much. They are blessed.

Loved this video. More like these, please. So about the lack of phone signal...there’s no GTT or Digicel signal in the area? I’m guessing no landlines? What about television? I have so many questions😩 What did you eat while you were there? Did you have a drink at the village shop? Lol. How long were you there and why?
@LeanafromGuyana3 жыл бұрын
Hahaha! No Gtt, digi or landline phones. They have some type of internet network that u top up your phone with like pre-paid credit. It runs out so fast! Aside from that, we walked with a satellite phone that we use in hinterland areas. It has an antenna & if u find a good spot, u can make a regular call....not sure what network it works on. People have TVs but they use DVDs & internet (if they can afford it) cause there are no channels lol. Remember the water system in the jungle u watched before this video, well we went there to commission that system with the first lady & minister (like a ribbon cutting ceremony). I was there for 3 days to plan for it and we paid a lady nearby the guesthouse to cook for us because she does catering. I downloaded netflix movies on my phone before I left GT to watch in the night lol. Hope this answers your questions.

Tropical places can bring some surprises. Once travelling with my wife through Costa Rica, we went to a jungle hotel that looked really good. We rented a room. But when my wife, who has a phobia to spiders, saw several tarantulas in our room, she panicked, cursed me and forced me to demand for a return of our money. The tropics are not for everyone!
