Hi Guys! You never got around to showing us the IT band stretch you mentioned after the hip flexor stretch with Mike on the table. Brad stated that if your leg has a tendency to pull to the outside, it meant your IT band was tight. Keeping the leg pulled in will help to stretch it out, but you’ll show us another stretch to help even more… and that was the end of that. Please show us how to safely stretch the IT band. One leg hanging other knee bent worked for me. I was diagnosed with hips, toes and shoulders bursitis several years ago. Menopause sux

My bed is too low to the ground for the first one to help me and the second doesn't help as I am without the band that you have and don't know where to get one here in the Philippines The 3rd technique was perfect for helping me! God bless you both for that one. When ever I have pain in that area then I will do this throughout my day... It is so difficult to function with anything when you are dealing with pain. You two are very helpful as well as your former most popular physical therapist on the Internet. Friend. You all have helped me so much!!!

Thank you both for another helpful video. I appreciate you mentioning what not to do if one had a hip replacement. Is there a timeline on what exercises not to do with a hip replacement, ie many years later?

Funny you should mention the heel strike when walking, this is the way they taught us to march in basic training, heel first. Probably why my hips and knees are so messed up today. 🥴

I recently picked up golf as hobby and went from 0-100. I went to ranges 2x a week and played 69 holes of Par 3 golf in a single month. Currently dealing with hip pain and it makes sense why. Completely overdid and now I gotta take a break. Will being doing the hip flexor stretch to hopefully achieve some relief. Need to get back to training legs at the gym and playing golf!! Thanks

great video!!! I have pain in my hip, knee and ankle/arch of foot, so I suspect bursitis is the cause. I love the fact you put out these videos, you've shown us these exercises before but I need to have them reinforced in my brain several times before I remember them. Thanks Fellas!!!

My (R) hip has pretty advanced arthritis, and I think bursitis may have brought pain back that finally disappeared after about a year. Looking forward to trying that 1st exercise. Thanks Brad & Mike!!!

Is there a good exercise/stretch for an ongoing inflamed TFL originating from running and for many years? I stretch daily and can't seem to get into the TFL. Many thanks!

Not sure if this is what I have but some of the symptoms described in that other video sort of match. Can it cause a sharp pain in the upper thigh such that you go weak for a brief moment almost causing you to collapse?

I had bilateral total hip replacement in 2019 and have suffered from hip bursitis on both sides ever since. I will try these stretches to see whether they provide any relief.

Hi guys, I have pain in my left hip when I walk too much and my hip seems to “give way” in that its suddenly too tender to walk on. I was diagnosed with shallow sockets around forty years ago at which time I had incidents of having to twist my extended leg outwards under pressure in order to reset the hip. Is there a name for this other than “shallow sockets “ and are there any therapies to help prevent it? 😊🙏 I forgot to tell you that I have hyper mobility syndrome .

I have piriformis syndrome & my hips have been hurting about 5 yrs, I kept complaining to several drs but none ever sent me for mri, xrays.. nada, null, none. I can't lay back or get up without help, I can't lift either leg up very much off the ground & I also have lumbar arthritis & mild scoliosis. I've tried several exercises on my own, did aquatic pt for 6 months (which didn't work because I'm afraid of agua), did regular pt for 10 months but they said they weren't seeing improvement so they stopped scheduling 😢

I was hit on a ski hill in my early twenties and in the ensuing spin across the snow, my hip struck a tree. I have suffered busitis in that hip off and on ever since. Of course, now that I'm older, it's more often than not. I avoid things/doing things that i fear will cause it to flare up, unfortunately, my favorite activity, scuba diving can be problematic. It's not the diving of course but the climbing in and out of boats, sometimes with ladders and sometimes not. Because the originating event was the brutal strike against the tree trunk and the almost instaneous flare up from a zipline adventure, I'm thinking that a good portion of the problem may be that slight displacement that you referenced. I've tried the other two exercises with benefits but I'm inconsistent in the practice.😊 my bad I'd like to try the bands exercise just to see but if it's wrong for me, experience says that the flare up will be almost immediate and then long lasting😢. Should I still try it, on spec?

My hips are confusing me. They’re a mess and if something helps one thing, it hurts another. I started to feel this bursitis after increasing intensity on PHT exercises (hip strength and flexibility)…. The thing that seems to give me the most relief is stretching my back. I sit in a chair and lean forward putting my hands down on ground…. What do I do? I just want to have consistent hip exercises and make progress but it’s like I have to quit and change all the time. I don’t even know if I’m making progress

What exercises can I do for tendinitis of the hip flexor? After hip replacement one year ago I have had pain & unable to lift that leg. The surgeon said it is Tendinitis of the hip flexor.

Where should I feel the stretch during the 1st exercise? I'm feeling a pulling all the way up to my iliac crest. It's impossible for me to sleep on either side because of this. I hope this helps. Steroid injections don't help.

Is the hip bursa able to be felt from rubbing your hip? I feel a lump there. I assumed it was a muscle.

I had HORRIBLE hip pain and went to physical therapy, I'm a physical therapist and needed some manual therapy. Not all these will work for you, go see a professional and get evaluated. PS I'm nearly pain free.

How about this one?: lie on your side, move one leg slightly back, raise and lower that leg, maybe with an ankle weight if no pain. Do NOT do it with that leg forward of the bottom leg (forward of the knee). Helpful? Safe?

Well I exercise BURPSITIS which is, I eat Healthy(and a lot) and then I Burp it out. Keeps me Light'n'Happy. No Muss, No Fuss and certainly, No Cuss 😎
