The day this album became available, I bought it, took it to my girlfriend's house, went to the family room, hair down to my shoulders, cranked up the stereo up to 10! About the time we got to Dazed And Confused, father walked in Shouted out " WTF is this Sh*t ???" Right then, I KNEW it was one of the greatest albums created!!! Since then I have worn out 3 albums, 2 8-tracks, 2 cassettes 3 CD's. Ipods, etc. And now I'm listening to it with you on YT media, 54 yrs later. Thanks man. Enjoy.

Just think - the singer, Robert Plant and drummer, John Bonham, were only 20 yrs old on this album. The recordingng for this album began on Sept 25th, 1968 and oddly, John Bonham passed away exactly 12 years later, on Sept 25th, 1980. It was horrible and immensely sad day. John Bonham could not be replaced - they called it quits.

there were a lot of bands that can be put into that category. Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen, Bee Gees, Black Sabbath, Jethro Tull, the Rolling Stones, Cat Stevens, Jim Croce, Aerosmith, and the list goes on and on. They all had unique voices with songs that were perfect for their voice that no one else could sing them like they did.

The fact that you’re listening to the whole album opens up the door for me to say this is why us older folks say that today’s music sucks! The knowledge, the ambition, the musicianship, the lyrics that were created, and in most cases, the knowledge that our artist had in the studio and how to work the equipment was part of what created such great music. So, that being said, how can you come from my generation’s music and listen to the low quality effort that is put into today’s music. a lot of today’s artist not all, have no idea of how to put an entire song together never mind an entire album and have no clue as to what all that is in the studio is capable of doing or how to work it. We are spoiled, grateful, immensely proud of the music we grew up with, diehard fans will not except anything less and are relying on the younger generation to keep this great music alive. OK I put in my two cents in. Thanks for reacting to this entire album. Led Zeppelin still the best band ever of the 1970s!😎✌🏻

Agree,90% of modern music is shallow musicly. Record companies just want good looking singers that can do a few dance moves, they don't care if you can't sing live, they'll use backing tracks and some pointless dancers to hide the lack of talent.

Come on, you can’t say that Floyd, AC/DC, Queen, The Beatles, The Who, Alice In Chains, and on and on. Grand Funk Railroad’s Inside Out, Oingo Boingo. Shut to the Boingo! My Point is that all the bands mentioned, Oh Crap, RUSH! I forgot about RUSH! Sorry Rush Army! There was something about this band that there is no description. To this day there is something about this band that is indescribable. They are the greatest for an inexplainable reason, but we all feel it.

That was a great reaction!! you picked the best way to get the most out of the music, listening to the whole album as they intended it to be heard and then including a live version as well. The violin bow technique you saw on that film is how Page generated the sounds on Dazed and confused so you need to see a live version of that as well, MSG 1973 version if you can find it. This was widely regarded as one of the best first albums ever by any band, it wasn't their only one that year - unlimited range and talent. All four of them are legends. adding Whole lotta love just in case there wasn't enough greatness!! do go back and react to that properly you wouldn't want to miss it. Obviously, an airship (zeppelin) of lead would be so heavy it would crash and burn because lead is so heavy. So I think someone told the band they would be like a lead zeppelin and they went with the name. I actually don't know that much about it for sure, but I believe I heard that was where the name came. You’re pretty close. The story is that John Bonham and Keith Moon, the drummer from The Who were out together drinking. John Bonham told Keith Moon about this new band he was in. Moon told him it was going to go down like a lead balloon. John told the rest of the band. The Hindenburg was a Zeppellin, known more commonly as a blimp that burst in to flames while in the air and went down. It is on video. It’s is the greatest mechanical tragedy of it’s time. The band decided on the name Led Zeppelin.

Saw Page and Plant in St Louis in 98. When tbey did Babe Im Gonna Leave You and it got to the driving part the whole crowd was jumping in unison. Beautiful moment and one of my all time favorite memories

Each one is & was the GOAT of their craft, & they melded together as one. Live solos of John Bonham Moby Dick, & Jimmy Page live Madison Square Gardens are out of this world.

I just love to watch the younger people listen to led zeppelin for the first time. They hear what we heard 50 years ago. Jimmy Page sais we wanted to make music that would stand the length of time. He did! Led zeppelin forever. Saw them in Tampa Florida 1973 and 1977. Best rock n roll band ever❤❤❤

If he would’ve watched how many more times from that concert, the moment Robert hit that first extended please, he would’ve fallen out of his chair. I had a girlfriend who called that the panty dropping note. Try it out with a hot girl.

I had this album as a teenager and used to listen on the floor under my Grandmothers dining room table with my headphones on full blast. My God it took me away! Dazed and Confused was played over and over. I was good at setting that needle down right where I needed it. A friend just gave me an old turntable and receiver and I've got some old Bose speakers I'm getting ready to start rockin the house! My neighbors are gonna love me!

That last live song was the best live performance you could’ve reacted to since that’s probably the bands 1st live performance that was recorded… they never played their songs the same way on stage

Your reaction to dazed and confused was spot on. It’s so much to take in. That double drum drop gives me chills to this day. When music physically makes you FEEL something. Good stuff.

I remember when I heard this vinyl for the first time. I wore that record out and the needle too. This is when the phrase “Turn it up to 11” originated. There are a handful of albums that dropped that can be said to have changed music forever. Led Zeppelin I is one of them.

The members of Led Zeppelin literally grew up in post war Britain of comparative privation and initially adopted the sound of the blues as an outpouring of this.
